The reputation system is excellent if there is a way to publicly view the reasons why and the person who posted it.

Without these features, it is worse than useless and deserves to be disposed of.

I had 38 rep points previously, none negative and none from me. I think that rep is a good way to help new people get an idea of who is trustworthy and who isn't. Rep points might not be important on a forum where there are no classifieds, but here rep is quite important IMO. It would be nice to have at least some back, for sure..

Does it really MATTER how many rep points we all had? Why not just start anew? Yeah I had 18 rep points, but I would rather see a fresh start to all of this than get them back.

This system is worthless anyway without a way to view who posted rep for what reason.

If you can give rep back with the user names of WHO repped you intact do it, if not then simply start over with a clean slate. FWIW I had about 24 rep points

I had 21, but unless you can see comments then there is no point in the system IMO. I'm not bothered about getting mine back, as I think that most people think that I'm a trustworthy member
