It cures dentists, lawyers and mothers-in-law.

LOL. Will it work on all doctors, or just dentists? An orthodontist should be close enough right?

I believe there are retainer rings in the front part of the laser and they are easily accessible. I don't know if they are glued in or not. No idea what size they are. Though I believe I have seen a member hold his module in with tape. Perhaps you could do the same? I dunno. They were cheap and even have a "make an offer" button. So you might be able to get them even cheaper!

My evo hosts are showing 12mm diameter, possibly held in at the front by a few dabs of glue. A good twist with pliers should pop the glue off

I have a couple of these around. I'll take one apart and tape pics of it all in the morning.

Intermittently working Coherent LaserCheck power meter for $100 (buy it now, not auction).

I'd buy it, but I already have enough meters, and don't need another project.

From the description, it needs to be "whacked" to get working, which to me indicates that there is a bad solder joint or a damaged/corroded button. Might be worth the risk buying it, opening up and repairing/cleaning. The LaserCheck also probably need to be recalibrated, but someone on the forum would probably be willing to do that.
