Re: 445nm "sled" pics

Awesome builds, great pics

*EDIT*

Hmm, I forsee an EzFocus in your near future, SpyderFire...

445nm build with EzFocus adapter and an AixiZ 405 glass lens:

If your planning on using an AixiZ 405 glass lens with an EzFocus adapter, then my recommendation is to pay the extra $10 option for me to use a little longer heatsink and drill out the top of the pill! :)

That way the driver can be mounted inside of the pill instead of on top of the pill...

And I will also make the heatsink a little longer as well.

Then there would be room to slide the module into the heatsink farther to adjust the current EzFocus design to fit just fine if your using the AixiZ 405 glass lens! (which sticks out farther than other lenses)

But you must make sure your AixiZ 405 lens has the full length threads so that you can thread the EzFocus adapter onto the lens...

Re: 445nm pictures

Can you put a blu ray up to compare. Also what due you figure the mw are at. I would like to run mine at a lower ma and have it as a handheld.

Re: 445nm pictures

Not got anything else to compare to really. The blue is hogging the PSU so I can't compare it to one of my lower powered 635s.

Not got an LPM, but I'll go with 700mW at 1A with the aixiz acrylic.

Pure awesomeness, nice pictures!

...My patience is dwindling while waiting for these diodes.

Re: 445nm pictures

Do you know how much power that is putting out at 220mA?
And what lens are you using?

Just curious.....

i am waiting on mine and I am trying to figure out how bright 445nm is. Seems pretty bright for 220mA.

At 220mA is the beam visible in the dark without fog?

Re: 445nm pictures

i hope someone will compare mw of 445 with mw of 405nm... and 473

i don't understand if this 445nm is really visible.... if it is MORE SIMILAR to the dpss473nm......or 405nm.

my sensation is that no one will ever buy/BUILD a bluray laser..........also 10 and 12X.. that gives 500 to 700mw of power.... i think are more expensive than a 1w 445 diode. am i wrong?

this diode is the future..........is it possible to build simple 200mw laser PEN pointers 2xaaa with this diode?

He wrote that he had no LPM and was using aan AixiZ acrylic

Re: 445nm pictures

My photography skillz still suck, but I thought I would show these off any way

There is nothing added to the air inside. The air outside is a bit humid tonight. The color is about right on my monitor

700mA = 705mW
