Also see here! (for AixiZ 445 custom focus adapters)

This is a great little EzFocus adapter for you Kryton lovers! :D

It is designed primarily for Kryton owners who have also upgraded to my 405-G-1 glass lens modification, or my 650-G-1 glass lens fit for AixiZ mod... (but works just the same with AixiZ acrylic)

As you know, the design of the Kryton, awesome as it is, makes it difficult to focus. It is designed for more of a 'fixed focus' laser that can be adjusted, but your fingers get in the way for focusing.

(P.S. I have spoken to Kenom about this modification and he is fine with me selling it) :)

With the availability of my glass lens modifications, the increase in power will make it very uncomfortable to say the least when trying to focus your Kryton! You will burn your fingers with these lenses! ;)

The installation is simple, you just push your lens with focus ring into the o-ring fitted adapter!

My Kryton EzFocus Adapter will work well for AixiZ acrylic as well! In this case, you just don't push the AixiZ focus ring completely 'flush'. (as shown in the picture)

Very nice control for easy fine adjustment! :)

I am offering them sized for the 1st run smooth Kryton's, as well as the Kryton Groove barrels.

* $19 dollars plus $3 dollars shipping. For the knurled option, add $5 dollars...
* Please read my shipping policy here!

A similar EzFocus adapter is also available for my Pocket Mini! :D

I will be selling these as an option to get with my Pocket Mini Kits, or separately! :)

Note: Designed for use with my 405-G-1 glass lens modification, or my 650-G-1 glass 'fit for AixiZ' lens mod.

You can set the module in the desired position. I will offer them knurled, as the pictures show.

* These will be $20 dollars plus shipping...
* Please read my shipping policy here!

Same price for my Micro Chrome EzFocus adapter...

Key Chain CR2 EzFocus adapter is also available for my new Key Chain CR2 Build Kit!

Re: FS: Kryton Focus Adapter! Easy Focus For Kryto

The Kryton is Kenom's design...

I messaged him about my EzFocus adapter.

I don't know if he will be doing another Kryton run or not. But lets hope so, because they are an awesome design!

Why the heck didn't I think of that. I liked the look of the kryton but figuring out an easy way to access the focus was driving me nuts. Finally had a machinist friend remove the top portion (don't let kenom see this picture).  :-X

Great mod though I'd want one myself if not for my own mod. Work that precise is hard to come by.

Very awesome mod there bud. I'm not concerned about any toes. It's a great solution for a issue that lots of people have had with the Kryton. probably 90% of Kryton owners don't like the head setup with the lens recessed like it is. I set it up though specifically so that the laser could head stand without affecting the focus as well as not worrying about messing up the focus. Anyway, Knock yourself out and I hope you sell a ton.

Re: FS: Kryton Focus Adapter! Easy Focus For Kryto

Thanks Ken, I don't anticipate a lot of sales on these...

It's one of those things that if a person tried it in person, they would have to have it, but just looking at pictures you would probably pass on it.

Simply because the Kryton is already awesome as it is! This EzFocus adapter just adds a little more functionality is all.

I'll order a few pieces of material in case anybody wants one...

Re: FS: Kryton Focus Adapter! Easy Focus For Kryto

Oh and as far as focusing on the "fly" even with the Kryton aperture cap in place, I came up with a tool that let me focus the lens, and still allow the beam to be passed

DSC00048.jpg

The metal "tabs" inside the diameter of the tube fit into the screwdriver slot on the lens, and since the tube is completely hollow it allows you to twist the lens and still allow the beam to exit to see how your "twisting" affects the focus.

Got you covered!

Your going to love this adapter...

For installation, press your lens into the adapter first, like the bottom picture shows, then just screw it in! :)

Re: FS: Kryton Focus Adapter! Easy Focus For Kryto

This is a very cool idea.

What are the chances of getting this in anything other than plain aluminum?

I have a black and a clear that I might like to add this to.

But this would look funky on the ends if it didnt match.

@icecruncher:Talk to Dark_Horse about anodisation, though I know he is quite busy at the moment.

@JayRob: If Kenom does another run, I will probably get one of these, unless Kenom provides one of these with the next model (I only really came here after the second run, or I would have a collection of Krytons!)

That's the only thing...

Because there are some custom anodized colors in the Kryton's that can never be matched exactly, but it really looks good, even on a custom Kryton. (IMO)

It just highlights the aperture end of the laser!

Re: FS: Kryton Focus Adapter! Easy Focus For Kryto

I'll send up getting one at some point

I just won't leave it on permanently

Ie: I'll push it on just far enough to adjust and then remove

But I still think it's a great way to solve the adjustment issue.
