Re: What's the market for the 1 Watt 445nm diodes from the XJ-A140?

Hell yeah I agree. But If I set up any of my personal friends witha 445 or any high powered laser, I would have them get on lpf and read for 2 or 3 weeks first. Mainly in the safety section. And even if I help them find one they want especially a 445 I would Not let them or get them anything past 4 or 500 ma first off. I stress every safety caution and measure tp the people I show mine to
And I only do it outside.

I am not about quibble with the price of these diodes. I appreciate the skill and all of the trouble that you guys put forth to provide us with these little tech wonders to use
however we like,.. responsibly. Thanks.

Ok, to the people -repping. I admitted I mess up. Quit jerking me around.

I'm sorry, Mk?

Sorry isn't going to cut it. We ALL hate you here. Maybe you should just do us a favor and go away.

We dont ALL hate the little Toaster, but most of us are in agreement that he would be doing the forum a favor by leaving his useless posts at the door. (or at least thinking once in a while before posting) :undecided:
Is Toaster a post-whore ???
:bday:

I don't care, toaster does nothing but spam. Also, I can promise you that I am not the only one that feels this way about him.

Mfo, please stop instigating issues. Thanks

Re: What's the market for the 1 Watt 445nm diodes from the XJ-A140?

Yep we need one more person here selling diodes
14 people isn't enough
Why don't you get a real job ?
Say how about making candy bars and selling them
as it would seem you are probly just a qulified !

First off if you are going to sell anything YOU should find the market and not be asking other people !
second you wouldn't be throwing away your money if you bought a A140 as you could build 24 lasers with it, that is if you have any idea how to ?
Third you you plan on keeping a few LD's incase you kill some extracting them who is going to take a chance on getting a good one from you.
did you just fall off the truck yesterday it would appear so ?

What's the market for the 1 Watt 445nm diodes from the XJ-A140? I am thinking of buying the projector and harvesting the diodes, but I want to find the market for them before I throw away $850!

Re: What's the market for the 1 Watt 445nm diodes from the XJ-A140?

Bottom line you are not going to get any laser part cheaper than you can get here. Check ebay prices and compare. You can get info and parts here to build just about any laser at half price. We even get discounts from the main laser companies. So these guys selling diodes and other parts are doing us a favor. No one is ripping anyone off here.

I was going to buy your TANK007 for one of my hosts, but now thats out of the question for sure!! :scowl: Also, I wasn't planning to break any diodes during extraction, nor did I. Keeping a few was just to have more than one, and incase I drop one and cant find it. All 24 diodes are in perfect condition, sitting on a bed of cotton. No heat was used during extraction (DTRs method).

Thanks. For the amount of effort I put into this project, I'd say these things are worth at least triple what I plan to sell them for. I hope people realize that for over a watt of optical power, 50 bucks is a pretty good deal :)
