Mentioning pacman takes me back 34 years to when I was 14 and it was a huge hit. Never really got into it much although plenty of my friends did.
Don't remember how I came up with Pman originally many years ago other than it was probably something easy to use since my name is Peter (prefer Pete although mom doesn't like it).

It is easy to see my nick Blord in relation with Belgium but that is not the B stand for. :)
It all started with the first person shooter Quake. The B stand for battle as I was quite good in the game and my tactical abilities were unmatched.

Now that was one of the best all time games ever made Blord (or should I say BattleLord):) If I remember correctly, I pre-purchased the first gaming 3D card by 3dfx ever made so I could play it in 3D (think it was a voodoo card maybe...).
Paid $300 bucks for it.

I've used the moniker Sigurthr for nearly a decade now. It is of course in reference to the norse hero who is sometimes referred to as Sigurd or Sigfried (from Volsungasaga). I've so fully embraced the name that I've long considered legally changing my name from Matt to Sigurth. I am not sure if I want to keep the pseudo-silent r on the end as it seems to confuse people. If i were not for the large expense (severl hundred dollars) and the massive effort needed to change so many official documents I would certainly have changed my name already. If I did not want to save my back for a large backpiece of Thor fighting Jormungandr I would have the bloody leaf print tattooed on my back in reference to the leaf stuck on Sigurthr's back when he bathed in Fafnir's blood.

No, I do not regret my username. It is my birthname I regret. The only thing worse then my first and middle names being biblical (I'm an atheist with moderate disdain for religion creeping its way into my life - I'm fine with anything as long as it doesn't affect me) is the fact that my first name is barely two syllables and is easily mistaken for a dozen other words. I can't count how many times someone will yell "go get THAT" and I look up wondering who called my name.

Oh, we're supposed to explain where we pulled out nicknames from?

Eudaimonia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That pretty much covers the root. I made up the suffix, because my latin/greek skills are maybe only a little rusty. I dunno, sounded sufficiently cool at the time and I kinda stuck with it.

I also made up my brother's online nickname. He had to name his argonian character in Skyrim, and since me and my bro are polar opposites of people who name their in-game avatars "P**sy" and "C**k", we brainstormed some ideas for a sufficiently cool fantasy character name for a while until I came up with "Idrryl". Stuck as his online identity since. :D

Great thread and idea Wanna-- have had the nickname of hacksaw for many years but Hack has been 'taken' forever prolly -due to computer hackers.

I do regret my username because itgive no clue to my real name. What is worse though is having totally different names for- email(s) PP accts=forum user names-etc.

I got an email from a guy wanting to know if I had shiipped an item to him yet- I had to ask who the hell he was.
I started a thread about this topic a while back in hopes that those just lurking would take the time to choose a username that they would be comfy with forever-- some aparently did not see that thread as the names they choose are terrible.

Take a look at the members list FIRST to bwe sure your choice has not been taken or a name very similair is in use. I also suggested NOT using the word laser and there ae a dozen pages of usernames just starting with that word alone-- hardly an original idea-- One guy jioned here last year and choose hakzak-- I wrote him about the possible confusion his choice could happen to both of us- turns out it has been his nick forever and he sounded like a great guy so I have n/p with Mr. hakzak--

I remember when Isaak joined LPF as I wrote him about wannaburstuff< no dobt another username that caused some regret as that member now goes by another name--

So to all those with regrets- you can ask admin for a change-- BUT what you CANNOT
is just open another acct,. that will cost you a three day-time-out. Duplicate IP addys are automatically detected and its nothing personal= just not allowed. Admin gets a daily report about dup IP so that is a good thing to know-If another member of you hosehold wants to join LPF they need to first contact admin so you will not get flagged and banned.. this can even happen if some one in your town joins=ask DTR==he got banned at P/L when they thought he was another guy who was already perma banned at P/L.. so if you come here and se yourself banned you need to find ot why. Which is not easy-- the best way is to email a member or Admin and ask what is up? to get the email of admin just make a donation and you will have that in your PP address book/payment history.. automatically.

I regret not entering dan.efex or dan|efex so folks wouldn't think my name was Dane :p

Well, I've gone by "Trevor" for almost 23 years now, I think I'd be out of luck if I didn't like it! :D

I could have thought of that
That would have been fun

In English my name is David
Whereas in Spanish my name is David

I just might change my name to the Spanish translation to keep it interesting

Peace,
dave

Nice, but, regarding the tiny detail about your Twitter account, maybe putting a zero right after "Ped" was not too overly good of an idea.

Just saying.
