when i get back from holiday ill try knock up a detailed guide on how to turn on into a 405nm pointer.

when taking the insides out the red you need it all intact. you need the plastic holder and driver from the red.

I may want one...

Prob not the most original but for my first laser build I'll be putting a BR in a Purple Mini-mag I picked up at Walmart, and use a 14670 LiIon cell, and a click switch tailcap.

Here is a picture of my BR host, its a 2xCR123A flashlight from DX, and the heatsink is sealed inside rather than showing, its a matter of preference ofcourse.

This one cost me 2 dead 803's .... I was plagued by bad neg path through the torch and only trying to drive @130ma...

...anyhooo, I got my last one working @120ma, burns black stuff with ease etc.

Host is from DX http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1099

Uses the Rkcstr drive and 3 X 10440 rechargables. The sleeve over the front is the focus ring.
