FS: Jibs Linear Drivers

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

I just found out that this driver coupled with the inferior switches in the Kryton groove = almost instant kill of the switch. The internal spring that provides tension on the actuator ends up heating up and this means the spring will lose it's tension. The switch just plain won't work after that. So, I've gotta find new switches.

WOW @ switch damage. I heard that it happens, I've just never seen it.

They day I get the PCBs I'll PM everybody from the batch with payment info. It should be any day now.

cool, you'll have to explain to me how to get them to 900 or 950mA each, I cant remember ohms law

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

for those interested in this laser driver, I would like to say that with the Kryton and 445nm coupled with this laser driver, I am getting 1.6WATTs peak off 2 rechargable 16340's.

HERE IS THE GRAPH.

I just finished a 445nm in an old Kryton Smooth with Jib77's driver. It is also being powered by two rechargeable CR123 size batteries (16340). My results are consistent with your results.

The little Smooth starts to get warm after a minute, but is darned sure bright

Peace,
dave
