CNI GB #9 New low price on Yellow Laser

Cool Glenn. Still checking my email regularly for GC invoice to make sure I dont miss it. :)

Here's a question though Glenn: Can you ask CNI if you can order just the heatsink/shutter assembly for PGL-III-C's? (Basically the unscrewable barrel-on-the-end-heatsink with the 'ON/OFF' disc on the front) Reason I ask is, I have a few that are scratched up or the shutter doesn't close. I know that these just unscrew and are easily replaceable.

Would it be possible to order that part? Could you ask Ava? I'd like to do that to fix my Aries and make it closeable again to keep dust from getting in.

Hey friends, thanks for the input. I do think if we all ask for the same host, that would be the best way to bargain the cost down. So, about the 589nm ones, are all interested if it must be a PGL III-C, or if they can do it all for a PGL III-A?, (I think the -A is unlikely, but I don't mind asking, btw). -GH

Are you THERE?? It says your online I want to buy the 150mW green CNI laser, and my email is Souljasai@yahoo.com

Souljasai,

I -think- he's still getting through all the invoices... I requested mine a few days ago and still haven't seen it

-- Glenn had a family emergency a few weeks back and is probably still getting through all of the backlog from GB#7 and #8.

I know waiting is hard on these things :) but I'm sure Glenn will check in here to make sure everyone wno wanted to order, got in, before he places the order.

haha that's awesome that you changed the name of the LG Aquarius Pro to it's "actual" name, however you should probably call it either "LG Aquarius Pro", "CNI PGL-III-A", or both, because LG doesn't call it the PGL-III-A...

lol I'm just givin u a hard time :p

best of luck with the 473 problems *fingers crossed*

peace & thanks
-cmak

Heh, well, yeah, I kind of want to change them to their "actual" names but I also do want to give a nod to Laserglow because they've been good to me - so, basically its a "PGL-III-A" that I got from Laserglow. :)

But I don't know, heh, which is more proper "LPF Etiquette"? :)

I've got a *feeling* on my 473.... I'm going to do more runs tomorrow and see if it's just a fluke or if I've figured out what's going on. (Hint: I'm going off of ElectroFreaks' basic statement: that mode hopping is usually related to power.)

Do they sell 2 watt 532nm green lab lasers?
what would the price be?

Yes, I am sure they do make them at 2 W I'll look into the price. I always order all lab lasers individually so, order any time you are ready, (of course after I get you price and options, and for shipping I need to know where it will be sent?)

Adding the price of the PGL III 655 nm 50 mW is added and is $430 (again before shipping and PP fee.

Glenn, the PGL-III 655nm 500mW - Is this something new? do you have any details on that? Is that a direct diode? Similar to the LG Orion? Or is this something new with a smaller/thinner beam profile?

I´m interested in the 1mW GLP 589nm. Are they known to be overspec?

I am positive that this will be exactly like the LG Orion.
Direct diode, multimode, etc.
I think you are already the owner of the best beam profile >150mW red on the forums, by the way. ;)

For 655, I too would like some serious power, but for now I will stick with the LOC diodes. 300mW and good beam profile is more useful to me than 500mW and high divergence.

Also, >500mW 655nm C-mounts can be bought for pretty cheap on ebay. When/if I need more red power, I will be building it myself.

We have not purchased them before.
I too am interested in seeing where this goes.
I think they should average around 1-3mW if we get good units, which is great for a $250 yellow!

Good point... Oh well, I've got my PGL-III-C-532-400mW in for this order. :) Send some of your magic luck my way with this one - you're like the god of that model. :)

Glenn -- Should we expect similar turnaround from CNI on GB#9 as we had on GB#7? I think GB#7 was about 3 months, I don't know what's average...

I have hopes of an under 3 week order to deliver cycle this time around :)
I think RA has it right about a 655 must be a direct diode laser w/ the corresponding beam specs. -Glenn

I -reeeally- wish CNI would put some of their rarer DPSS colors like 457 and 480 into handhelds...

I don't know if you can ask on that Glenn, with all of the orders you've placed, but, I know they -can- do it... Ava was supposed to get back to me on a PGL-III-C-523, but seems reluctant.

Could you maybe ask if they have any new and interesting WL's available for the next GB? I know 589 was even kind of a "by chance" discovery as far as folks on LPF goes (CNI didn't really 'announce' their availability) -- and a damn good one at that.

Great Idea aryntha! I'll see if they will try to offer new wl's. I have been wishing for a ~610nm orange, a about 505nm teal, and a 457nm indigo laser to be offered, in that order as my particular preference goes.

Right after I wrote this, I had to get in the dark again and admire the golden beam of the new PGL III -C- 589nm I'm "testing" It's sure beautiful! ;) -Glenn

Glenn,

I'd order any and probably all of those colors... Let us know what they say they can do... that'd be absolutely awesome.
