What is your internet connection speed?

Wow, speedtest.net has gotten a lot prettier since I was last there.

This is on wifi, using a laptop, while DL'ing torrents, and streaming youtube, with 2 bars of connection :p

Yes, my upload sucks :(

I will test my desktop later..

EDIT: Same config, better ping but with worse download speeds. Screw optus :/

I think my linksys e3000 is slowing down my download speeds quite a bit. Will try new firmware and disconnecting it all-together

About the best I've ever seen on my connection:

^ Ping is pretty high since my nearest speedtest server is around 2000km away.

Australia's upload as a whole just generally sucks :p

I love that at 20 MB/s +, you're still slower than 50% of Canada!

Canada seems to have fairly uniformly awesome broadband in our cities. I know that a lot of US friends are stuck with under 10 MB/s. Some are still down around 5.

I always thought it was strange that they make such a racket in the US about "Fios". Great, 50 MB/s from fiber optic for $140 a month. We can get 100 MB/s service over our Cable modems here in Canada for about the same price. No need to name drop fancy tech like fiber optics. Our DOCSIS stuff is faster, and no lasers are required ;)

I guess that's not too bad since I have 2 dvr's recording right now and 2 phone lines on my cable.

Mine is really unreliable. I am pretty sure this is due to bad wiring in the house though, and not my ISP's fault.

Checked everything I could, even going so far as to bypass router...

Wiring inside the house is good... installed three years ago, and was checked 4 months ago.

Called ISP... it is a problem on their end, looks like there is a problem and they are working on it, but these results for the time being suck:
