I think the color is prettier and more unique as well.

Not that true yellow lasers are common by any standard, but the color can be approached very well using red/green mixing, making it stand out much less.

Wheres the alternative 488nm ? I love 488nm, 586-594nm are nice onee too.

488nm is not yet available in fully portable form (unless you make some kind of DIY transplant into a Herc-sized host or something... idk) so it's not an option. If it was then it would probably be my choice over the yellow (cyan = ultimate win)
