Thanks 'surfer! I had a good time with this contest, and 4th place is not too bad. Here's what is going on in my pic...
The laser on the left is the 593nm yellow CNI it projected beams and off the edge of the scenic plate's gold plated edge, it was reflecting into 2 yellow lines on the wall, (one looks like a yellow comet along the side of the mirror frame), as well as the beams at and from the mirror, the large laser next to it was a WL Spyder III blue 473nm (doing about 80mW), the large right laser was a common 532nm green, (of about 100 mW), which I lined up so that the brightest seeming green and blue were more blocked by the foreground lasers and crystal ball, so that, the less bright appearing violet , (405nm), and red 660nm were not drowned out. The crystal ball also shows some of the dots the diffraction grating spread onto the wall and table seeming to float in the ball. There are bowls and a pitcher of crystal, and a bit of the chandelier in the shot too, and the pitcher is so lit, it looks blue on it's right, it's center white and left side is magenta. The red laser is in a tripod top, (w/o legs), while the 405nm is hand held, my slight fog is from a small fog machine, (bought it from Bed, Bath and Beyond), The single diff. grating is over-exposed and looks white with the light of the 5 lasers, (total <700mW). I set-up & took the pic wearing multi-wl goggles, but had to be careful anyway... & the family and pets had all gone to bed, so, safely out of the way. Of course if I could of done anything to further make it a more "sick" beam shot, I would have. I really expected a lot more shots to out-shine my efforts, ya know! Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did! Anyone care to count the beams or dots?
