Well I mean just unscrew the front cover and take a picture just to see how things are arranged. It shouldn't affect the alignment. Those mirrors, etc. are usually screwed down and glued.

That's a pretty nifty compact design. I'm betting the $190 500mW version can be easily tweaked (potmodded) to the 800mW version as those laser diodes can probably handle the extra power just fine, and the green is the same mW.
Damn alignment would be a bitch if something were to fail! lol. I suppose you could maybe squeeze some flex mounts in there if you ever needed to realign it. Thanks for the internal pix

I pm'd the seller and he said the 445nm diode was an A-140 so at the sacrifice of white light I should be about to adjust it to around 750-1000mW without risk right? Also if I were to get one how would I hook up power to it? I have never had anything that doesn't use batteries or plug directly into the wall so I'm kind of a newb :undecided:. He said that it uses a 12V power source whatever that means. Could I buy something that I could put batteries in and just plug it into the driver? Or something to plug it right into the wall? :thanks:
Brendon, you can just use the 12V rail on a computer power supply for the laser AND you could power it with a 12V lead acid battery (scooter battery which you can charge with your atx psu)
Theres countless ways to get 12V from the wall and from batteries.
If you had to you, you could just solder some wires directly to those (pull the plastic casing off first). Then you can modulate the channels for other colors. Left unattached, those modulation pins are just floating and will stay on.
