Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please
Just my 0.02 on this
First, That 473 was still a steal for the price, 150-180 mw is awesome.
A new DHOM 50mw is $375 on ebay. I have blm-100 (100mw) and it is one of my favorites. Name brands are usually higher also, I paid about $200 which was also a steal, $1999 new.
They are incomparable and lots of tech goes into a 473 DPSS, much harder producing than a 532 so more expensive.
Second, I'm not going to call him out, but we had one member a year ago that called "dibs" on almost every HeNe and mount/table at the time. I don't know how many he bought, but it gets annoying when the same person does it repeatedly.
I can see once in a while and I don't know how many honor it, but the more you do that, the more likely a gentleman's agreement will be broken. I've been tempted at times, but haven't.
Calling dibs on an item like a 150mw 473 and then only going to $120 implies you aren't that serious about it IMHO.
Part of it - is biting the bullet and paying what its worth when you really, really want it. Ebay is market price, what people will pay and you can usually get almost anything you want, if you are willing to pay the price.
Which is why I have yet to pursue a Reliant 300WC.
