Yeah crazy and I were gonna bid on those yesterday. I call dibs on them. Might be able to make us a high power bench module with them.

The seller told me it needs like 30w in to get 1w out, or 5w in for about 12mw out.

Sounds about right... and we'd have to find our own OC and stuff. It won't be a cheap project.

The seller mentioned using surplus HR~1150nm telecom laser mirrors, which wouldnt be ideal, but would be better than say, using a 1064 mirror :p

I know there are 30W 808 fiber diodes out there, but i shuder at the price...other than that you would have diode bar arrays, which im not sure would work well for this since the crappy, non uniform beam. Maybe like a 15 watt C or F-mount diode? Certainly wouldnt be cheap..I wish i had the money for this crap, and i wish I lived closer to you, kaiser...would be a fun project. And by project i mean it would be me assuming i knew what to do, but then not, and you doing it all :D

haha. we've all been there at some point. I might be able to commission a mirror for it, depending on the coatings for the crystals. i'd have to get them first...and i'm kinda poor. I need to sell some of my old stuff soon.

I will bid if I have enough money. but I can't really chase these. I don't have a lot of money at the moment after buying a 589 and repairing my LPM. I recycled the last of my parts recently to build my cypreus, but I'm pretty dead in the water atm.

usually you see them for around 100$, but i know sams laser FAQ has a schematic of how to build your own for a couple bucks. If that is anything like the machine i got my argon out of, be warned- its heavy as shat. The DNA sequences i got mine out of was somewhere around 150lbs

does it state ttl blanking or analog modulation?
