Got my fiber coupled "B&W tek" 532 in today. the head is made by CNI, hence the quotes. it was like 1-2mW when i turned it on first, so i cut the photodiode off, and boom- around 200mW now. I need to add a lens to the front though, the output isn't collimated very well. But for 100$, I ain't complaining! If you have some spare money, I highly suggest snagging on of these while the deal is still there.

nice. just got some of the blue heads. one doesnt have the feedback, but they both run good. nice stuff.

That's an OPSL box. Pretty neat. Bet it gets crazy hot inside though. That should be bolted to a heatsink/OT for extended use. And NEVER opened

Its just the crystals. Its not a complete 532nm laser.

Some good deals and some dirty selling methods--

NEVER assume a listing where you THINK you are going to get three (RG &V) pointers for very little- they do all they can to make you think you will get three when in fact the listing is for ONE only-

BUT.. when you can REALLY buy three pointers for around 9 $usd thats crazy cheap-- even if one out of three is DOA or does not last long--

^^^ OK its at the very bottom and fine print- its one laser ONLY at that price- to get matching RG &V you need to spend >$33 usd still pretty cheap for all you get and when it does die you have hopefully a usable host left--

These listings are intentionally) misleading-- the seller seems to be trying to make buyers mistakenly buy thinking they are getting all three colors of pointerpens- If they are selling just one then WHY the '# pcs' in the listing photos- - Ebay needs to put a stop to this..

WHOA!! Now I see why these are so cheap- they do not send ANY (1pc OR 3PCS!!)-- check the neg FB- terrible seller is putting it mildly- NEVER buy or bid w/o reading the FB Greedbay is not doing a very good job IMO

time to get around to that simple project you have been wanting to make.
Got kiddos interested in your lasers-- these would make a great father/son(etc) project-& the very best time for that very important beginning safety lesson.

These would be easy to use for making 3 color:
Spiro
Lumia
Tunnel or Liq. Sky EFXs
or a 3 color handheld--

I suggest you order more then a single set as it is not rare that one may arrive DOA or fail soon.. VERY important that you run (duty)these for LESS than three minutes before allowing an equal time of rest.
One 'guide ' you may use is the length of a typical song.

These typically have a 30mW 532 and a 80mW 650 inside- I just bid $2 on the one above
They are interesting little moving grating PJs--- but boring after a while- I now buy them ONLY when they are below 20$- JUST to mainly get the R & G to re-use in a LUMIA PJ or SPIRO - but there are many other leftover parts with uses..

FYI The easy way to win this type of auction that requires very little on my part by sniping many at the same time- most will go above 20$ at the end- BUT sometime one slips by the crowd of Greedbayers and goes for much less. -- The one i use is totally free for the first 3 'snipes' and only 1% after that for ones they win for you- PM me P L E A S E- for link- as they also give me 3 freebies when you sign -up.--

Could be. I know they often run the argon lasers near idle to enhance lifetime... so the hour meter may mean nothing. A quick question to the seller as to where he/she got it from would be useful :beer:
