Coulter Epics XL MCL Flow Cytometer | eBay

Coulter Epics Laser Flow Cytometer -

I've taken one of these things apart and it's a treasure trove of electronics including mini high voltage power supplies, photomultiplier tubes (good for making a scintillation counter), a mini barcode scanner (diode laser based), a stepper motor or two, and more pneumatics than you can shake a stick at.

The main part of interest though is a 488nm single line box style JDSU argon head. This auction doesn't come with the PSU box though. Check out my dropbox album to see my teardown of one https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9b1jjc9wjy9y5ta/CMcDVAyz_N

No takers on that one-- so..

Coulter Epics XL MCL Flow Cytometer | eBay

been relisted as it had NO bids -- down to an opening bid of ~50$ and if you can do pick=up (~200lbs)
the fee for that is only$20 more- thus if your are close enough to Rochester NY-you could have this one for a steal deal- prolly not a great deal however if you had it palletized and shipped.

+5 to mario master for his ususal super help- not many knew what was inside this.. PSs can be had very cheap if you find one close enough to do a local pick-up--

Green Laser: 532 nm Laser, 500.8nm, 515nm, 526nm, 532nm, 543nm Laser

These are the wavelength's they offer:
-500.8nm
-510nm
-514.5nm
-515nm
-523.5nm
-526.5nm
-532nm
-543nm
-556nm
-561nm

40$ "455nm" laser diodes? Anyone know anything about these? I am half tempted to buy one...

I had to squint to read that "datasheet". If you look closer, they are 455nm max, but the
minimum is 440nm. They are only 80mW, so no better than the PL450. You can have more
power for a dollar less if you get a PL450B from DTR, or for a few dollars more, a PL TB450B
will give you almost 2 watts.

I saw one of these before :O I actually have been looking for one of these little teeny ones as a replacement for something

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

I want this...I know theres a bid on it, but I will try to get it.

Also, I FRICKIN CALL THIS LIKE NONE OTHER. MEIN. frickin link thats mine, NO TOUCHY
I have never seen a multi-wavelength diode before. I have known they existed, but never seen one. I want dis. And yes, i realize one of the WL's is IR. I don't care :eg:

Also this may be of use to someone.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Sounds like a ps3 diode. And if you want a cheap hene I'm gathering for a GB :)

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Wouldn't the diode out of a PS3 be significantly higher powered? And I saw your GB thread, will they include PSU's as well?

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

No tube only. They're the specialty small tubes. And ps3 diodes are pretty low power, it looks just like one from the sled. It's multi use diode for an optical reader. That I do know. 780 is for CDs, 658 is DVDs, 405 is bluray.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

well darn. maybe not worth the money then. How much would the PSU's cost for the hene's?
