I saw these tinpins yesterday. I thought about posting them here until I saw they were tinpins and thought I had seen this price on these before now. IDK if there is any reason to buy new diodes over these, but there could be a huge reason. We don't know how long these may have been used and that, alone, scares me off.

If it still works, you bet. I'd love to get a brand new HeCd for $350 total, but the chances are too great that I will have a $350 ornament to put over my bench as a reminder of not what to waste $$ on. Also, I think it is just the tube, so would need a PS.

That is very kind of you, Chris. That does sound like a good price for these if they can, in fact, be pushed over a watt. I'm not into burning things, so it wouldn't be an issue for me. But, I really don't need another 404nm or 405nm diode as even at 1 watt, they aren't very visible.

What kind of output power might these make....maybe 3.5w into the pump diode, so 1.5w into the crystal and maybe 1/3 of a watt of 532nm out ???

Plus they are used, so maybe not such a good deal, they look sturdy though.

Looks like XX.0 mw but I am not sure if there's a 3rd digit or not, it looks like 2 digits and a decimal.

The wires could easily be hiding another digit so you can't say for sure.

For that price ( or there about ) I can get a 1w direct diode on ebay, so it would need to be 600mw and I would still have to remove the SMA lens and use my own, now if it was 1000mw of DPSS I could be interested but not at 3.3v and 1.1a into the pump diode that's not even 50% efficient and the crystal is on average what....20%

It's likely not such a good deal.

I can't see the output being more than 100mW, so may be only two digits with a decimal.
