PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

I'll pitch in 20 bucks, you buy it to see :p

I bought an NDG7475T from another seller two years ago and it put out 1.4 watts. The seller said it was the T model, I don't know if it really was. I've heard the T designator was given to samples, whether that story is true is something more I don't know, too many rumors floating around.

You might be right, it is all just rumor and speculation. I've been watching this one for 10 days without pulling the trigger. I don't think I will now.

What projector has any of the 9mm 520nm diodes in it?

The NUGM01 and 02 are mounted in the ( high security ) 8 blocks, but I have not seen a unit that uses them.

used :(

but the link to the techhood listing shows his as new, but are they?

They sell a lot of diodes out of used projectors. Like the NDB7875's and NUBM44-71's they currently offer and other "tin-pin" units they mark as manufacturer refurbished. Most these projectors are not even sold in china and they buy arrays from the US and other countries pulled from like computer resale business that get large batches of units when organizations replace their aging units. LIke school districts or large companies that have large numbers of projectors for presentations.

It could be a NUG diode with a can added but most likely if the picture is accurate it is out of a used array and could be any of the 520 diode bin levels out there.

There is really no "T" model or at least one you will ever see. T is for "test sample" which is what is on the datasheet that is sent out to companies they are trying to get to commit to buying them before production starts. Since they don't have a real datasheet and the "T" Test Sample and "E" engineering sample sheets are usually the only ones that have leaked out they just say this is it. Or they just take a datasheet and edit it which you can tell as Nichia uses a in house font on their datasheets which you can see on their website datasheet which can help you spot which datasheets out there are not real or edited to make seem they go with the diode they are selling. The 7 in the model number is the easiest one to spot right off the bat as it gets fatter in the real font toward the bottom. The chances you would ever actually be sold a real diode out of a test sample or pre production engineering sample batch is near nill. Most all the datasheets out there supplied with NIchia diodes are not specifically for the diodes you are actually buying or just completely made up out of a patch work of leaked datasheets that give numbers that are close with changed model numbers or other info from third party sellers.

I guess they are 3 element.:) Have you used them before?

i have never used these, it's the 15 mm long lens mount i like, don't care about their lens. keeps me from getting my fingers burned when adjusting focus. i already have enough, but these can be hard to find, so posted.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Same here, It's the longer lens mount itself that I use (thanks again, Chris);), the lens would just be a bonus if it turned out to be a quality 3 element lens.

I've had to use these longer lens holders in some of my J/L Ti-B builds, since the focus assembly was too far away from the diode module for the short 9/10mm standard length ones to reach.

You don't need them often, but they are nice to have when needed. :yh:

According to Walter, these rods are not able to withstand the thermal stresses that YAGs do. At $250, I would pass on this one.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

I just thought interesting since it is so huge.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Yes, it is big, but it's glass. You need to read the book that you ordered.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

I had already researched ND Glass online earlier, that's why I'm not buying it, short high energy pulses, but it won't take as much heat.

IRC, more energy per pulse from these glass at low repetition rate. Probably to create YAG of that size would be expensive too.
