Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Contacted them again and they said the real output is 2-5mw 473nm.

I bumped my bid cause it seems other people want it too.

That's a bit more like it. Hope you get it man. I really doubt it but if you get it and it turns out to be 473 then make a post:D

Maybe they have no idea what 473 is actually worth?

Maybe they came across something like this and decided to resell it without knowledge of the value.

LZSK - 473nm 10mW Water Proof Blue Laser Pointer

Not really that cheap considering the Dragon Lasers 30mW 589nm spartan is cheaper at $359 and their 5mW Aurora is even cheaper at $299 plus shipping.
Unless of course they had the price wrong and since raised it to the current $388 that link brings up.
Dragonlasers shipping to the US seems to be $26 which brings the totals to $385 and $325 shipped respectively for a known quality laser with a real company behind it.

He should ask them for a usage fee!

And haven't used one of those, but it uses a mirrored cone to form the circle, with the spot from the laser aligned with the tip of the cone. There was talk on PL a long time ago of using the same/similar optic to do the reverse and combine multiple beams into one. I think it ended up being not all that practical. There's a few interesting things you can do with those optics, and other similar optics such as Axicon lenses.

Needs 5V IIRC, can't remember the pinout of the power/control connector, will try and dig it up...

Don't expect a nice beam, all of the ones I've seen were designed to be fiber coupled and as such didn't have collimation optics on the output.

Edit: Found it! :D

Pin Function
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1 GND
2 GND
3 TTL Modulation/Enable. Float/high is on.
4 +5 VDC
5 +5 VDC
6 Interlock, jumpered to 7.
7 Interlock, jumpered to 6.
8 Analog Modulation.
9 NC

You can leave pin 3 disconnected and jump pin 8 to pin 4 or 5. Pretty straight forward.

That's for the 532 model, driver is the same though.
