c0ld will always be the decider, however I can see as to why having more mods would help with that issue. Of course, if they have trouble deciding something, they can always take it to the forum, but for certain issues this may not be an option.
 
If i can put my half cent opinion in ..... must be also a person that have the time for do moderating work, not just that have the better timezone ..... i mean, as example, i cannot be a good mod here, and i had to left drop my mod place in another forum too, cause actually, with all the problems that i have, and trying to manage my PC shop, somedays i just find barely the time to breath :p ..... and i can easily suppose that some other peoples can be in the same or similar situations .....

That what i mean, basically, is ..... please check also how much time you can dedicate to the forum ..... if you have a work or a life that left you only occasionally check the pc, or just connect 10 minutes in the night ..... :)

Wayne is a good choice but I think he is obviously burnt out here. In the beginning he was enjoying himself, as time went on you could tell he was getting really frustrated. I consider Wayne a friend, and can honestly say he could not do it. Its a crappy job. You have to stay neutral, keep a calm head, and dont get to play in the forum games anymore, because you need to keep your opinion to yourself mostly. Its not as easy as people think.

i am still recovering from dental emergency has been a brutal week w/ fevers and pain

one other idea, just throwing it out there, could potentially add two moderators, maybe one for just off-topic, one for lasers, or split duties between the two ppl?

if someone wants to make a poll about mod candidates from what has been posted in this thread so far please feel free to go ahead, the new moderator will not neccarily be who wins the poll but it would help organize feedback a bit more

we could potentially have a 2nd poll after this one, to see if ppl think there should be 2 moderators operating on different sections of the site, or just 1

I agree that a second moderator is needed. Someone who will instantly squash any drama of any kind. Disagreements are ok, but when they start turning into fights, they need to be put down instantly, not by egging it on or putting in their $.02, but by closing the thread and forbidding any further discussion on the topic. I'm not sure there is anyone mentioned that can do that. To be TOTALLY impartial and upright.

I have been on this forum for 4 years and NEVER has this forum been so little fun. Days of our lives is more entertaining. No more furthering the hobby, just petty bickering.

It all depends on what you focus. I count at least 10 (probably more) laser related discussions going on today. I only count three problematic discussion. One of them only became problematic within the last hour or so with the entry of one person.

My comments were ON TOPIC opinion, and reference to past behavior I think shows qualities unbecoming a moderator. Quite the contrary. Those guys need moderation!!! Dave has almost twice the posts as anyone else. That doesn't suggest impartiality to me. It suggests an extreme.
