New 3.8mm red Diodes on the Block.

These diodes look awesome! I'm wondering if someone will put two of these diodes in modules and solder the leads on to them. If so, how much would it be? Thanks!

We must find out who makes this diode. The supplier must know who made it and the model number unless they bought it from somebody else that got them from the manufacturer.

That would be handy for those of us who did not get in on the very fast group buy!

please let us know about the 405 too. for me red is great eye candy - i love it. but 405 burns so nice...

Sure Will Cheech.

I WILL BE OPENING ANOTHER GROUPBUY FOR THESE DIODES.

Round 2......

So for those that Missed Out on round one, Round 2 will be opened up shortly.

The GB will be in the Same thread as Round 1 here:

Haha I hear it! I'm wondering though, didn't you say somewhere that the price was dropped when there was > 70 pcs? Will a purchase of 50 pcs cost more per each?

Just want to make sure. :D

Nope I said the Price does NOT drop over 50pcs until you get up in the High Hundreds.

a Smaller order then 50pcs will cost more.

Basically he is Giving the Price per diode for a 100pcs order on a 50pcs order since he is a Good friend of mine.:)

These diodes are only ~5$ more then LPC-826.

We are Lucky he gave me this Price. I paid 30$ each for the Samples keep that in mind.

Iam Not going to ask for a Price drop. He already told me the next price drop is at 500pcs Which is only a couple dollars. It would not be right.

Although i said there is Plenty diodes there is Not an Unlimited supply of theses. Once there gone there GONE.

OK,I thought the price was dropped at 70 not 50 pcs.

of course i'm looking forward to a build with this diode. i'm wondering if i could drive this diode with a microboost powered with a 3v 15270 battery? or a ben boost?

You need a linear or a buck driver for these diodes. NOT a boost driver because the Vf of the diode is lower than the voltage of one 3.0 or 3.7V battery.
Or powered with two AMC7135 chipfor 700mA current is a possibility. Love to see those running at 700mA.
