Hey guys, what is the most expensive laser (or parts for self - assembly) you have ever purchased? I am just curious because my most expensive purchase ... is really not that expensive :p

Permission to show off!

Mine would have to be my LaserGlow Aquarius-5! Ended up running me about $389(IIRC) :)

My most expensive so far is this build from late 2013:

http://laserpointerforums.com/f65/assembled-445nm-9mm-stainless-steel-host-pic-heavy-85997.html

I am still very pleased with it and it is still my most powerful laser. The parts cost $277.60 USD.

I may slightly exceed that with my first build of 2015 but not sure yet, already have the host but still deciding what to do before ordering more parts. Plenty of people here have spent way more money, hopefully some will post here along with pictures.

Definitely the NDG 7475 1 W 520. I got mine early on so it was big $$$. Then people gave me crap because I put it in a $10 host. The 501B.
I don't care! I love it!

I cannot compete with LtKernelPanic :undecided:

But I did drop almost $450 on a Dragon Lasers Spartan it regularly does about 120mW on a warm winter day. :umbrella:

My adegan relic ran me roughly 650 dollars in parts and a lot of hours of design and planning and lastly execution.

My 450nm 1,4W was the more expensive laser I built, that because I needed to buy two LD's (because I burn't one), U$110 (double it for R$), including the module, driver, heatsink and the two LD's.

For me it would be my NOS 594.1nm 4.1mW HeNe, which was $550. Next would be my 95mW 589nm DL Spartan at $435. After that would be the 8line 80mW Argon Ion laser I used to have.

Don't know if this counts but it's between my PD2 projector and 1.5W 520nm I put in a Sinner host.
I don't remember how much I paid for the projector. I have to look up the 520nm stuff and report back.

Edit: Looks like the 520nm was $611.50 including all the shipping.
