Hey Pman, nice Viagra® pen you got there!

Was that big rubber button "HARD" to get in there?

If you keep your laser on for more than 4 hours, consult a doctor immediately!

Depends on what you want to do. On the fasttech 50mW modules, which are now extinct, they had a momentary button but most here bypassed it for integrated use into a flashlight style laser with on/off switch.

These 5mW modules aren't as bad as I expected then. If they're outputting 50mW and they're cheaper than the old ones were, this isn't too bad of a deal.

My 50mW fasttech module was a fair way off being focused to infinity. But they normally are focused to infinity.

All the modules have a contact button on them but you will need a "button" to push that button down in your host if you want to use it rather than jumping it for a host with a tail cap button.
You can adjust the focus of the lens IF you can CAREFULLY get something in the holes of the lens. It may be very tight though and if you slip you could easily scratch the lens so fair warning.
The module pieces aren't tight and I could turn any of them without tools so be aware of this before you put it into a host. Could turn the lens section out some but this will likely bring the focus in toward you rather than a sharper infinity focus.

Looking at the Fasttech site and the new lasers they added that run about $20 I would say that IF the ma draw that is listed for them is about correct it is likely that the outputs of them are somewhere between 50-100mw. The exception will be the 2 AA pens (SD-280) that I have coming (wanted AA size units) which show only 200ma which would likely be 15-50mw. The focusing SD-301 doesn't show ma. SD-220 and 230 show 350ma draw. All come with battery, charger and box according to the descriptions. Anyone up to buying one of those to test?
Also, I've never seen cheaper AA and AAA battery spacers than on their site. Found them in 2 different spots and they call them "placeholders"
Ordered a mess of the yellow ones as the weight is slightly more than the white ones and you would certainly know that they are dummy cells by the color. Don't know how they can offer free worldwide shipping on them but that's what it says and you could still likely use the BLF code for 5% off. Know that Awillis has a different code for 10% but it has never worked for me. Believe his only works if you order over $100 which he says he does.
$0.87 Coolook AAA Battery Placeholders Cylinders (2-Pack) 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
4 Batteries (Battery Form Factor: AA (Placeholder)) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
2 Batteries (Battery Feature: Dummy Placeholder) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

My 5 single AAA pens are likely coming today (got plans for them), plus a few hosts (flashlights) from Amazon and more lables from Nick so it's looking like a good mail day:)

Hey guys, I just received one of the two modules that I ordered from Wallbuys. I ordered them separately, so maybe the second one will be in the mail tomorrow!

I can't believe how fast they arrived, I ordered them on 5/23 in the afternoon.
The first one was at my mailbox on 5/30 by 9 a.m. Less than 7 full days from China to Mi. not too shabby! :)

I hope their quality is as good as thier shipping.

BTW - This module seems to have the same resister as the fasttech modules, also comes with the spring attached.

I hope so!
If these give 1/2 their rated power, and reasonably low IR, they will have been a good deal. Who knows, maybe they will be 200mw, or not!

Well, the stuff I mentioned above came and the single AAA 532nm tested at....
44, 70, 70, 76 and 101!:) Can't believe how stable some of these units are. Have too many host options so I'm trying to decide what to do but I did make one gloss black and another gold. So, I currently have a gold, emerald green, flat black and gloss black.
Going to put the 70, 76 and 101 in other hosts.
Will mention that most of these pens don't like an over 1.7V lithium.

Wow, thanks for finding the aaa dummies Pman. I've been hunting for some since my first 650nm build!
