Re: My first build (Jayrob 18650 Host) - 445nm Success

Well, based on comparisons at similar wavelengths and other lasers I have metered, I'm guessing a bit over 300mW. I am supposed to go to Boulder later this week so I can meter it then, but I gotta say, it blows my PGL-III-473 away.

Amazing clear-air visibility, especially for a wavelength that's so low on the 'visibility curve'.

Re: My first build (Jayrob 18650 Host) - 445nm Success

Cool! I can't wait to build mine. Parts are on the way :D

My Second build

Howdy All  This is my second 445 build and a real burner :)
It's in a Tank007Cu host and a 445 diode and a Dr.Lava Micro Boost drive.
The drive is set to 750ma out as measured into the 445 diode through a 1 ohm resistor, the drive at this output draws 1.27amp on the input with 4.2 volts in.
a beam shot with the Aixiz lens.

heres the reading with a Aixiz glass 405 lens.

Re: Photos and Video of 445nm

Got my diode and driver in today, took the time to install it into a Kryton.

I: 812mA
Po: 807mW
405-G-1 (highly recommended )

Here is a pic:

I must say that I am VERY impressed with the color and especially brightness. To my eyes it is absolutely true blue. Really makes a ~100mW 532nm laser look dull.

Don't forget to post your results in the "post your ma mw" thread.

Re: My Second build

Hey FP....
nice build on the 445nm and your LPM...
I had forgotten what it looked like...
