I think that is what it said in your sig.

 Now I know who my precious little wanker's been hangin' with............
Both Glenn and I are a bit more inland from the I-5 corridor. However, compared to the drive down here, the side trip would be inconsequential.
If we're lucky we can get Glenn to make us some tea. If we end up here, beer is more in order
Peace,
dave
If I'm welcomed, I'd like to join. Wet my whistle a bit..
Basicly everone is welcome And it's about time for me to leave here and now all the little brush fires are starting to crop up and I been busyer than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest trying to put them out, it looks like I may not get to leave today but tomorrow, damn.
I'll keep everone updated, got ot go stop on a fire right now :eg:
Later...
There certainly was a "lasercon" here last week ... CLEO. I displayed 24 of my oldest lasers in the Laserfest booth along with about 70 from other participants. LaserBen brought about a dozen, Spectra-Physics probably 20, Richard Stone (another local private collector) another dozen. I was also poking holes in razor blades in the OSA booth with a '62 Hughes ruby laser. Popping balloons is child's play.:eg: Takes a manly laser to drill steel!
It's a shame that there isn't more face-to-face meeting of the people in forums like this. We're all less willing to write nasty things when we know we'll have to see each other personally in a small group regularly. That's how it is in the real world. Formalities. Tolerance. Accountability. Ethics.
Put people in cars and you get road rage. Put them on the internet and you get screen balls. Mix up 50+ professionals with <20 novelty enthusiasts and you're gonna' get conflict. Too bad the avatars aren't required to be accurate representatives of who we really are, so we know when an old man is arguing with a teenager. those arguments wouldn't happen at a real world gathering. Real world gatherings build community. Computers isolate.
Was that freakin' necessary??? I was commenting (with a little altitude, if you know what that means), on the goodness of gatherings in light of Flamingpyro's trip, and trying to suggest something that would make things better in "places" like this. And YOU have to shit all over it.
Does anybody else see that? Bump my rep if you do.
Your later parts or your post was sarcastic, and was intended to bait people. This is what I mean about you. You want to make things better around here? Stop being such a hot headed whine baby, and learn to let go of things. And why are you asking people to bump your rep? Are you desperate to make yourself look good or something?
Look who's talking...
