Kryton Grooves coming back!

More and more, I think the manufacturer added the clear anodizing to hide blemishes, as much as anything. Both of mine had scratches that didn't become apparent until after taking of the clear coat.

just out of curiosity did anyone else get a pokaboted Groove???

I received one like that but it's going to get polished. The other one is fine other than a very small scratch. No worries tho they are not going to be shelf queens.

For the price we paid for them I dont think we can really complain...;) Anyway I rather like the anodising, it seems to be hiding the blemishes and it actually looks really good. My other two highly polished lasers are a bi*ch to keep clean and have begun to loose their shine from constant wiping...:(

Well, it looks like I lucked out on my 405nm diode for my 5.6mm Kryton!

This thing is a monster! The driver is only set @ 485mA!

Damn strait. At 25.00 each it was a steal. Thanks again Matt:beer:

Yes. You'll want to get the threads, and the inside where the pins on the switch will sit.

I'm trying to get this video uploaded showing it all....

video has like 10 minutes left on the upload. Will be live at KrytonGrooveWMV V9 - YouTube

This video is for the host prep removing the anodizing, and for assembling the tailcap.
I didn't do much editing so you're stuck with a long video.
Skip to the 5:00 mark for just the tailcap assembly.

Build tutorial is done filming and i am converting the file and will upload it right after.

You were the lucky one that ended up with a custom finish right from the factory! More dots woulda been better tho. You'll need to put in a contaminated lens so your laser beam will have polka dots!

Do you plan to polish that one Willis? If not I can replace it.
I didn't bother to inspect them since they were all individually wrapped from the manufacturer
