Howto: USB Soundcard DAC (EZAudDAC) with Windows 7

Actually I didn't try a different USB port, I'll try that in a bit. It's odd that everything works fine with .wav files and in the sound card settings, but in LFI I get jumbled garbage.. My problem may be unrelated to the issue being discussed here, it could be settings in LFI. I've double-checked them a couple times and found nothing out of the ordinary, but I could be overlooking something.. probably something stupidly simple.

At least one of you has tried actually using LFI with a projector in Win7 64 right?

I don't have my lasers here so I couldn't hook up one. Galvos worked though when playing an ilda fine on LFI. on win7 64 bit indeed. You can't call this a projector but I don't see why it shouldn't work with a laser now. I will measure the voltage later tonight while LFI is playing to ensure that at least one channel outputs different voltages.

I'll keep an eye on this thread.. not too worried about making things work on my end, I haven't actually used my soundcard DAC except for occasionally to deal with some unique situations and for troubleshooting like this in awhile.. not since I got into Quickshow etc. I'm sure it can and does work in Win7 64, but the driver glitchiness annoys me.

i cant get LFI to give any output on any channel no matter what soundcard or if lasers are on or off i get nothing

I only had LFI for my projector (parts) and was pulling out my hair trying to get that stupid mixing to stop. Then I was able to get the full-range stuff working and show some pictures accurately. I still need to get my dongle fixed by DrLava so I can switch between desktop and laptop with LSX.

im looking to buy LSX but dont have the cash right now so am trying to make due with LFI untill then but its nit working out so well

Hey guys, fast update. bennet got it working ( i guess i helped me lol but he didn't thank me yet :( j/K :P ) ye videos coming from him soon :)

why is it a dotted line instead of continues

What kind of laser is that, as in what brand? Looks like "jelly-beaning" to me, which happens when DPSS lasers respond poorly to modulation signals. Looks like good output in terms of image cleanliness though, what galvos? PT-30s?

Also, what are your color settings set to in LFI prefs? Normal or monochrome or one of the other settings? You want monochrome..

PTs indeed. Not sure about his laser though. So you say it's the laser's fault?

Might be the stop-and-go motion of drawing the circle too. The image might be designed for a faster scan speed where the mid-points would not end up so polygonal, but have it smoothed out.

SO messing with the pps option might help get rid of this?
