I would be in for a good quantity of both 5.6mm and a few 3.8mm ones. Have you confirmed it will be an exact clone of the Aixiz specifically for how far the diode's can protrudes up into the module and depth of the lens threads. I have seen bad clones where the diode sits back further and the can of the diode was flush with the bottom of the threaded area of the module. This caused problems as the single element lenses would not work with them.:beer:

They are the same measurements as the Aixiz modules and are threaded for the Aixiz lens aswell. The threads go far back all the way past the can of the diode so they will get close enough for focusing well I'm sure. ;)

Urgh. This would be a great deal if there was somewhere else to find lens springs. I hate using teflon tape. Seems like a waste to buy a 2.50$ aixiz module just for the spring.

This is true.. Is it hard to make a similar spring I wonder? Doesn't seem like it might I might be wrong.

hmmm might be interested in this. How close are you to your goal for both copper and aluminum 5.6mm modules?

I will go for $50 copper 5.6mm modules.
Edit- Shoot I meant to say 50 copper modules. Not sure why I put a stinking dollar sign in front of. Maybe because I was thinking about money and how much that would cost and if I have enough money to start buying parts to stock up on. (running low on stuff)

What kind of tolerances are you getting? For these prices I'm worried the tolerances may not be good enough to make a nice press fit.

Also have you found the exact size the holes should be? (Im thinking I saw somewhere that a standard 5.6mm diode isn't exactly 5.6mm?) It might be a good idea to contact somebody else who has made these to get the exact specs.

Anyways, I'll probably be in for 8 modules in copper:
4x 5.6mm
2x 3.8mm
2x 9mm
