GB: 1W 520nm diode information/giveaway

Yea, still pretty disgusted by the "tester". At least the ball is rolling again. Whoever gets it better do it justice with a sick host!
 





ARG- have you released any of the testing data yet? I'm game for getting my hands on it iif any of it is ready for release.

Unrelated to this GB, but in case anyone is interested in more data, I spectro'd a diode, and it hit 519nm when run at 2.5A.

Until I can muster funds for one of these bad boys !!! Alas...I can do no testing !!

SOOooo...Do you think this diode is a candidate for corrective optics ???

A subjective question I know....as this depends on one's demands at the 25' to 50' (7M~15M) range.

Your thoughts ??

ARG: You may want to look into timelines for claiming shipping insurance loss on the diode (not to be a downer). I forget exactly how the process works, but I had to look into it once before through CanadaPost. I believe 6 weeks is the threshold for where they consider a package lost (or at least it was for whatever service I looked into it for - probably varies by type of shipping used). What can you tell from the tracking number?
 
Since ARG is out till the 6th I'll answer this. I recently asked him through PM how the GB was coming, he said that it was shipped without tracking.
 
Sorry, was off on a camping trip without internet access.
When I requested the diode sent back to me I didn't bother specifying with tracking as he said "ok, I will get it sent asap, and will add a tracking number" then when I inquired about the tracking number later he said "I didnt send it with tracking‎, I take it by your message that its not arrived yet"

Fired off another email asking about shipping insurance.
