Why did you want to be anonymous in the first place?
I understand it was a small packet but I would have assumed that a near $1000 piece of electronics would warrant a stern reminder to your assistance to get tracking and insurance.
When you buy an expensive piece of equipment for your business from another country do you get it shipped without tracking or insurance?
Are you going to pay for the diode if its lost and the funds cannot be recovered though insurance?
The understanding "if in the event the diode died from the tests (over current, COD ect.) that it would be the loss of the group" was clearly stated, that is true. Albeit the "loss" of the diode under testing is different from it being at present "lost" in shipping without tracking and especially with it being uninsured. In group buys there is an inherent expectation the GB organizer to very nearly treat others money as if their own and to that end the expectation for the GB organizer to prudently avoid unnecessary risks. At the very least it could have been explained the risk of shipping to this particular tester and have allowed the group the opportunity to decide if it was worth the risk, where I am fairly certain
those which did contribute their money "wouldn't have signed up for this" either. It was the group contributors that "signed up" to your "volunteering" to organize the group by which they agreed to the terms you established
For everyone's benefit and good will I do hope the diode will arrive.
Has the draw been made yet?
Has the draw been made yet?
I am not mad about the possible loss of this diode or any loss of money, rather I am disappointed, upset and bothered when someone previously so well respected fails a test of integrity, as diodes and things are soon forgotten, but twisting words, making excuses and failing to own what is of your making will not soon dim from our collective memories.
