Found some interesting 445 lens.. ;)

AnthoT, If you want you could send the lens to me and I could LPM it :D we could split the shipping.

I have most of the lenses that are available, so I could do a comparison of them in power and divergence/beam size, I also got an old DSLR from a freind so I can take ncie pictures :)

That would be nice, I think I'll just ship one to you from my supplier for the lenses :)

I like it too much & it's got a perfect focus adapter with a C6 :p

PM me please :)

Ok, I think this is a decent photo...

That's at 45 feet... I tried a few pictures & took the best one, had every light on and turned on flash on my camera. :)

Alright, I've got a lens being shipped to me. I will post LPM results & divergence/beam size when it arrives!

Yes, that's a much better photo. Another nice thing for beamspots is to photograph the dot on a black surface like a black brick (common at my house), or something that won't burn, but will absorb the light.

For your lens in particular, try measuring the size of the dot at different distances. That way you'll know if, for example, you're actually focusing somewhere in the middle and the beam is spreading out from that point.

interesting! will wait for LPM reading.

I am actually building an LPM at the moment, I just have to go get some paint :p I won't need to calibrate it for this exact test as it should tell us wether or not the lens is stronger or weaker ;)

Did you say it is a glass lens in a metal nut?

Because if it's acrylic, then it will not be useful for the high powered 445 builds.

If glass, then it's a great find. But I'm guessing less output power vs AixiZ... (which would mean better kept for lower powered builds - but nice!)

It's glass :)

Anyway, I can't seem to get my LPM to work right now so I just measured raw TEC output,

Aixiz glass TEC output = 31mv
This new glass lens TEC output = 26mv
Both on a 445 set to 830mA
But the TEC is not a good representation but I'm working on getting this LPM up :D

It really looks like the 3 element lens dot is 30mm and the new find lens is 25mm... lol Maybe i need to wake up and edit this when i get back from the store? We'll find out!

i remember lazeerer having some similar lenses. are these the same?
i like the looks of the 445 "bar" with it!

I'm not sure & I don't have any lens or laser to test it with at the moment. Sorry

Well now that time has passed my LPM is finished & finally metered the 2 lenses,

I was VERY pleasantly surprised :D

1.22W with the new lens I found & exact same with the aixiz glass lens!!!!!

So there is now nice dots & nice powers :D

ARGLaser is still gonna test one :)

Here's some pictures

They were taken at the exact same distance with the same laser.
