About this Laser: Bought of eBay for £250.00 (~$325.00) in working condition, this laser remains untested as I have no argon controller. It is a single line unit, despite what the laser sticker states. Ideal, as what I wanted most was that 488nm cyan line. This laser is rather inefficient. It produces nearly a kilowatt in waste heat.

About this Laser: Bought of eBay for £49.50 (~$64.25). This laser is based on a Sharp 488nm diode, but it hits higher than specified. It is a GH04850B2G (SB308B292). Some have received 489nm, and some nearer 494nm. The output visually of this laser is closer to 489-490nm. In pure daylight the laser is light sky blue, and in dark conditions the dot looks more aqua in colour. It's amazing to think that you can now buy a complete mass produced laser with a 488nm diode in it for less than £50. A a couple of years ago, the same laser would of been worth over 20x that.

About this Laser: Bought on eBay from a Russian for a steal of price ~£307.47 ($400.00). It is 50mW 593.5nm DPSS, and would of been worth $$$$'s used/new usually. It is in great cosmetic condition and the laser output is great. The laser operates primarily in TEM01, which is normal for this wavelength in that CNI host. I always wanted to get hold on 593.5nm, as it becoming increasingly harder to come by. Also coming across this much power in lab form is incredibly rare. Let alone at that sort of price. The laser is a SFG DPSS, meaning it sums two Nd:YVO4 lines (1064nm and 1342nm) together to form 593.5nm. Despite only being 4.6nm in wavelength apart from the 589nm's, the colour difference is clear. I'm very happy to own both DPSS yellow wavelengths in 50mW+ power levels.

You say something about the bad divergence of a laser.I think that there is some beam expander,which can improve this.
Am I wright?

Hi Theodore, been away for a while. Yes you can beam expand, but the best fix for this laser is cylindrical lenses. The beam of the NUBM44 is powerful but divergent. Thanks anyway.
