hahaha exactly, so if we decide to enter the HS through the top, then we could use that oustide set screw idea to keep it still.

With the existing heat sinks, we have ~4mm diameter too wide a host.

so if Dark fixes the heatsinks, do you think putting a set screw outside of the host will solve the problem.

If the heat sink fits, the set screw may be the only way to go besides thermal epoxy with this host.

There is still a groove where the lens was, right? Is it similar to the groove in the original DJR-head?
It is tough to tell without seeing it closely, but I am guessing I can make a stepped heatsink which will load from the front and maybe we can use an O-ring or snap-ring in the lens-groove to retain the HS....velcro?

This will be a problem then. The front part of the head is .950 ID .795 will fit into the rear, but there will be nothing for it to "stop" against.

Wouldn't that cause issues with heat, in a sense insulating the heatsink and holding the heat inside?

I've just caught up on all the posts again and realized what's happened, I haven't got my host through yet but this really sucks.

The whole reason I bought this host was because I wanted to use it with my Dorcy jnr full body heatsink which I purchased a while ago, now this has pretty much rendered it usless?

So we aren't getting the hosts which were originally displayed on the first post?

I tell you, I'm getting fed up with usps. I have 5 packages floating around out their. Granted 2 will be shipping today. However their is one that was mailed from just one state away, almost a week and a half ago

Unfortunately, no we are not getting the hosts in the first picture but if you go to page 8 (i think it was) itll show a comparison of the original dorcy and the ones that we bought.

thats really sucks. ya i ordered christmas gifts for my parents yesterday and both shipped today so ill see how that goes. hopefully they arrive before christmas. and i have 2 other package in transit.

So if we have to use a Set Screw that could be a problem for us with out Taps and the screws them selfs, and i for one dont trust my self to drill a stright hole lmao any ideas?

Sorry I've been away, I've been and still am very unwell.

I've emailed Mark from Dorcy twice now, only because he sent me a sample of this Dorcy, which was the CORRECT one. Then he sent these ones? I will be talking with him as soon as he gets back to me.

I apologise so much for this people.. I thought this would be perfect... I guess Dave is right, the item number is correct and there is no mistake there, but I wanted the Dorcy's I got as a sample. Not this.

I will try get on here as much as I can, but I've been in hospital a fair bit over the past 2 weeks, so slowly getting there.
