Careful Who You Sell To and How You Sell!!!

"Is there anything Liquid, Fragile, Perishable, or potentially Hazardous?

*thinks back to decomposing rat....*

"Nope" :)

This is just unbelievable. I'm sorry for your experience SBA.

I'm still astounded that paypal ruled in his favor considering that you have many, multiple messages from the guy admitting that he received the item.

It's been suggested already, but call, and keep annoying paypal - regardless of the item in question, the claim he made is for non-receipt, and you have clear proof of receipt.

I wouldn't worry about him suing you due to mental anguish... especially after he made an implicit threat to you, and others by posting that picture of himself with a gun.

If nothing else that by itself is highly criminal.

Here you are....

By the way, I never spoke with him on the phone. As far as I know, he doesn't even know my phone number. The entire opening of the email is B.S. that he is attempting to use as an evidence trail...one of which does not exist.

I'm sure his attorney would easily find by going through my phone bill the Mattew and I never spoke on the phone.

Get this thread locked and stop responding to him. He wants attention. Don't give it to him.

^^^Agreed. This guy is some kind of bipolar and no one knows which.

Sorry to hear of these circumstances. It's a stain on cyberspace against those who want to legitimately utilize it.

No reason to lock this thread... it's being kept civil by everyone, just a discussion of what's going on.

Btw, DTR, thank you for posting that $250 signature confirmation bit. It's news to me.

As a matter of practice I use only tracked shipping, but for anything over $200 I also add signature confirmation on.

@TonyT - That's just unbelievable.

Ok, gentlemen. Here is the reason PayPal sided against me in this claim. This is copy/pasted directly from the email from PayPal to me. I think you all will understand why it's so important to insist on a signature.

Thank you for contacting PayPal.

We received the tracking information you submitted:

Tracking Number: 9505500019433134000077
Shipping Company: USPS

Unfortunately, the information you supplied is insufficient. To be eligible for PayPal Seller Protection, you must obtain signature confirmation that is viewable online for transactions that total $250 or more. Because we did not receive this, we are unable to grant your claim appeal at this time.

To view the terms and conditions of PayPal Seller Protection, simple click “Legal Agreements” at the bottom of any PayPal page and then click “PayPal User Agreement.”

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Sincerely,
Nathan

That leaves a bad taste in the mouth but maybe offers a slight amount of closure with regards to Paypal.

A huge thanks to cmsjr123 for his generosity and knocking down my PayPal tab a few bucks. Major rep points his way!

+rep from me too! That is a very generous thing to do, and reflects highly on your character.

4 rep barrs added.

Check PP terms & conditions though, I mean you have admission from the buyer that he received the item in question. Obviously the argument is null and void, if they will ONLY accept signature as proof of delivery.
