Bitcoin

I've heard that there are some attacks to try and sow panic into the market so that people try dumping their coins in haste. I guess it's to be expected that something with value will draw negative attention too.

Since the Bitcoin is gaining quite a bit of ground now (thanks to media attention), looks like it may have less chance of total collapse, and more so with more members and services that join it. Next time it crashes (since it's still unstable), BUY! :p
(if only it was so easy... :undecided:)

Mariomaster i'd love to hear some details about your rig! About how often would you actually get bitcoins?

Well, looks like the second bubble in bitcoin's history has finally popped for good. Good riddance, what bitcoin really need is stability and a steady grow in user base, not wild price fluctuations based on speculation. I'm confident that bitcoin still has a bright future.

Yeah, it's really hard to buy or sell anything if there is no predictable exchange rate. BTC's true value doesn't come from its value increasing or fluctuating, but its ability to be used as a reliable currency.

$60 lol

... 30 minutes later
$134

I see a chance at day trading here

What is weird about it? Also, what client did you download? The official bitcoin-QT is not really recommended for beginners, because you need to download the entire "blockchain" before you can use it, which can take many hours.

hmm... I have the official bitcoin-qt and also the litecoin-qt. Didn't take that long to download all the blocks, but man they sure take up a lot of space.... 10GB!

I dunno I think the normal bitcoin, 10gb wtf just to pay a simple person online *uninstalling*

God I need a simple way for some one to send me money online on my website and pay pals not an option, I've tried everything nothing works and I'm not getting a business account to accept credit cards online, I'm not paying $800+ p/a

Well, Grix did mention that there are other clients (or wallets) that don't require you to download the entire block chain... Try those?

It's a bummer that Paypal's out of the question. That's currently the best way to pay online... Are there really no ways you can accept payment through Paypal?

Nothing too special really, I had one system with two Radeon hd5870s and another with three Radeon 5850s. Running them together got me around 1.4 GH/s

The first day I had them online I made something like 38 coins in 24 hours.
