Nah I'm no good at giving things names :p
And thanks! You can see what I do when I get bored

+1 rep jib, holy shit that looks professional. Nice soldering too. I guess If these start to produce I think I want one. Maybe get a red diode in there. Although green would look awesome in there, I think that's just too bothersome with all the extra stuff you need for green.

Hey Jib - would it be something we could adjust on our own ends, to make it meter for 2x cells (thinking of doing 2x 16340s) ?

Thanks! The LED I'm using has green and red in the same package. If voltage is ok it will be green, if it drops below 2.94V it will turn red. Or so the theory goes.

Yes, R2 resistor would need to be 29.4 Kohm instead of 1.13 Mohm. This will give you a threshold of 5.9V.

this thread is getting awfully awesome, and quick..

I just wanted a cool lookin laser. Now I plan much much more. and antarctic has always been what I've called it

I just had an idea, although the design is pretty much final by now.

How much trouble would it be to have a tripod mounting thread somewhere on this host?
You know, like every camera has one.
Just a little threaded socket, 1/3 inch deep should be enough.

Would be quite useful on occasion.

Not ASKING for anything here, just a thought!;)

The final build of this host is going to be nothing short of amazing  Pontiac and jib you guys are awesome:wave:

Thanks for your continuos hard work and devotion

Took the words right out of my mouth.

I agree Anselm, a tripod socket would be wonderful, I just got my first laser
I can put on a tripod, and if is freaking aweaome

As always Jib, your work looks amazing! That will make planning a side clicky host 100 times easier!

A threaded stub for a tripod wouldn't be too hard, I could put one right about where the smartswitch button on the Arctic is without too much trouble. I can add small things like that and engravings relatively easily.

Very cool Pontiac, I was wondering about something like that on this host. This is getting more epic all the time!

Pontiac, I just have to give you a rep for your work. And to get you out of having *69* rep

****UPDATE****

Good news, the voltage monitor works good! It even turns orange (combination of green and red) around 3.1V then red below 2.94. These LEDs are really bright and really tiny! Looks great through the light pipe ... Ill post some crappy cell pics when I get home.

You amaze me
