Any one seen this? Axixz Glass lens for 405 nm

Jayrob could you be so kind as to repeat his test with one of your lenses?

I just did a 1' and 5' power comparison with a PHR/405-G-1 build and got very different results...

* RA_pierce got 157mW's at 1', and 129mW's at 5'. Difference - 28mW's, which is about 18% of 157mW's.

* I got 131mW's at 1', and 126mW's at 5'. Difference - 5mW's, which is about 3.5% of 131mW's.

Coherent PowerMax 5200 with PM3 thermal head.

Hey John Law, why don't you send Dave one of your RPL's. It will cut down on your wifes nagging.........LOL.......rob

Edit:
Aixiz 405nm glass lens:
140mW @ 1"
137mW @ 5'
Less than 3% loss

Seem RA retested and you guys got almost identical results.
I recheck my 405-g-1 lens and it seemed it was not focusing as far as I needed. It was in a custom mount that I tapped myself, but appearently not deep enough. I milled a little bit off the end of my lens housing and now I'm getting the Divergence I desire. Hopefully those Aixiz are at least decent and I didn't waste my money. I am going to do a side by side comparision myself to see if the power loss is worth the "possible" better beam quality. But again, at $15 its worth checking out, just wish I hadn't ordered 3 because now that my 405-g-1 lens works for my Infinite Color Build I only need 2 at most.

Just in case there was a misunderstanding I thought I'd clarify:

My test was done with PHR sled optics, rather than the 405-G-1 lens (that I sold) with the assumption that the results would be similar because beam profile is almost identical.
So it was by no means meant to be a definitive result.
My second test was done with the 405 Aixiz lens.
Tested with Laserbee LPM.
Thanks for the numbers Jayrob :)

Sounds like our results are very similar...

Thanks for the clarification! :)

Is this a triple element spherical lens like their 660nm coated glass one, or a single element aspheric lens?

Ordered one.
Hopefully it will be a simple swap with the regular lense in the aixiz module.
Cant wait for the stuff to get here for my phr build !!!!

it looks the exact same after i glued it into place it just has 4 more threads than an acrylic type
