Amazingly cheap hid flash light! Hurry limited stock!

I'd love for a bunch of these to come around as factory defects (cosmetic) instead of being a total scam. Oh well, sometimes it sucks to be an optimist, haha.

Dang, really hope this isn't a scam... But it's looking that way.

I'm gonna wait it out... for $20 it's worth the risk!

bobhaha that thing you did in your sig where you totaled up your wattage is pretty awesome! It is offtopic, but this is just going to need some patience and time to get sorted so I figured I might as well.

well the way i see it is this; expected delivery is longer than 40 days so you can wait the 40 days but it still wont be delivered by then and if it is then it may be a small key chain light or Chinese coin. who knows you may get a necklace so IMO dispute it up now and save the waiting and delayed hassle. You can always wait the 40 days but to me that just prolongs the pain of being a scam

The downside to waiting to open a dispute, is the scammer (seller) has time to withdraw funds from PP and the account linked to PP.

Which means you end up with nothing if PP is unable to recover funds.

When you open a dispute, the seller is unable to transfer that money out until the dispute is resolved.

You can also change the dispute reason later from not delivered, to not as described, because as Ryansoh posted, most likely you will get some cheap trinket.

madmacmo, I'm surprised your did give away a dollar!

I thought you were saying that the HID deal was not a scam when I read the email excerpt. :D

Even if the scammer withdraws the funds from his/her account, PP still gives our money back when PP knows that the customers have been scammed. I guess this money comes from the 4% PP fees they steal from us. :p

I remember reading about cases where people didn't get their money back.

That was a while ago, so it's possible PP has updated their policies, and how they handle the scams.

Yeah, scams like these are pretty common but I guess PP is rich enough to pay back the customers. I think this is part of buyer protection?

Even if it does turn out to be real, I don't think I could stand holding something made so cheaply, I'd feel like the batteries could go off like a pipe bomb at any moment ... or maybe that's the plan? :D

I asked to have my order cancelled and he said OK, but or return or conformation of cancellation.

Same here...

No tracking number for me though... (That's a good thing for a PP dispute right?)

Same here. Mine is shipping via AusPost Sea Mail Parcel which has a 1 to 2 month delivery time.

Mine (separate orders) both shipped 29 seconds apart from each other. No tracking numbers on either. I hope this is good for a dispute.

Agreed. At $20, I think I would replace the battery (if I got something).

Really? He refused to cancel mine.

Why is he shipping these AusPost when he is in China, and we are in the US?
