Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED

Just to let you know i am working from casio reps and these parts are anything but easy to find as it is there is a 20 order back order so i am now going threw Tokyo.
This would not be as fast as using the other GB this could be settled to night or in the next few days.
As i am going threw some contacts at casio and now are going threw tokyo shipping might take some time, we are hoping we might be able to piggyback it with a shipment of larger goods so we would only pay us shipping and costumes would not take them.

Re: Super cheap 445nm lasers

This sold for around i think 35$ a laser plus lens.

So what will you be buying exactly...

1) a whole projector
2) just the 24 LD array block
3) individual LDs and lenses harvested by your supplier..

And at what will the cost including shipping be In USD for...

1) USA
2) Canada
3) International

I'm not sure if you have all the answers yet but I am just
curious...
Has your Casio guy said anything about these A130 and
A140 projectors becoming extinct in the near future...

1. As i am not giving out the source but i would be willing to send the projector out to a few members of high standing, mp if you want to order a whole unit.
2. it is just the array no other things.
3. no i will be harvesting them my self.
shipping.
I plan on putt the lasers into teeth holders like you get from the dentist.
Then in an envelope.
So what ever that costs. no too much. in the us
if its to a reputable member i might cut the shipping costs or make a trade for something.

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED

You know, I haven't seen this much excitement on LPF since the first Blu-ray diodes started being murdered for science...

My impulse buying trigger finger is sooooo itchy. But I think I'd better just wait a week or two for the first reviews to show up before I actually get one myself. (assuming they don't sell out) This just sounds a bit too good to be true at the moment. And since I already have a nice blue at the moment... I... must... resist....

Cheers, CC

EDIT: Ah, who the hell was I fooling.... The site popped up and I bought one. A 1W for $200 is like getting a Porche for the price of a SmartCar. What real laser fan could resist?

Damn... I want one of these but I don't trust myself with one. Maybe when I have more experience.

If you do this for awhile I'll consider it over time. I already bought a $50 diode from Mario so, and the WL Arctic. I think it would be nice to get another one later, as a lower powered one...200mA or so, which yes, is still dangerous.

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED

sweet!, that settles it then. I am definetly going to be using this projector that I got today as a TV.
Using it as a projector?!?! :wtf: How freaking odd...

i want to make sure i do all in my power to keep this out of the hands of the clueless.
 +rep . . . Every diode we can make harder for inexperienced hands to get will help us.

Damn... I want one of these but I don't trust myself with one. Maybe when I have more experience.
