Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED

$550 per array? That's less than 25 per diode! :D

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED

I would like to order a array. I,m a senior member from Photonlexicon and have my own lasercompany. I,m building projectors and have developed my own modules. Electrofreak, kgb , and andythemechanic know that i deal with MCcarrot from PL a lot. Actually andy has developed some high side drivers that can drive a 4 setup and i,m waiting for his drivers as we speak:yh:

Edison is definitely worthy or a full array. He's completely knowledgeable and full of great ideas. He has made some amazing laser cases and is developing modules for these 445's as we speak. I would LOVE to see what he could do with a full array.

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED

okay then people i am fearing casio might be able to stop my source before to long i want to place this order soon. so if you know or got any hold backs its got to be soon or these are going to be a thing of the past for the lucky few who got some.

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED

Kiyoukan it might be wise to let anyone order an array. Seems you only got 3 out of 10 and I don't think it's going to go up any with that restriction.

JayRob himself stated that he doesn't sell complete lasers.

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED

Hmm. Its interesting that Glenn hasn't expressed any interest in a couple arrays. Perhaps he is getting them at a similar price already.

How bad is the shipping? Will it totally kill the price if you don't get 10 arrays?
I'm thinking the problem is that most here don't build complete lasers to sell, just kits without the diode.
If you build "and" sell high quality lasers or kits or other things on the forums you can buy them for the cheapest price i can offer, but i would ask you only sell them with kits or in your builds.
Have you asked Kendall & Drew? Hightechdealz & modwerx must be thinking about 445nm. Also SenKat_Stonetek.
it might be wise to let anyone order an array.
He could sell them to anyone since its only a laser component to the FDA. Its more responsible to limit the sale but I suppose anyone looking for a cool toy will just buy the arctic. Unless someone already sells laser kits or components why would they be interested in a whole array anyway?

«EDIT» MUST.. RESIST... Don't.. NEED.. Whole. ARRAY...

Well seeing as this is going the way it is...
Open season if you want one you can have one,
This is not how i wanted it to go but if i must i must.

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED

Perhaps you should edit the thread title? "UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED available to all" ?
I really thought more people would be buying. Hey your up to 5 now!

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED

honestly i want to get these in our hands. as i have the supplier info so a few lasers hit the market cheap in the long run i still have them to open up a shop or sell them off to other places but why not as long as i get my lasers, I am as happy as can be.

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED !FOR ALL!

I sure would like to see your efforts bear fruit. I don't know if this could work or not, but I can afford to shell out for half of an array if somebody would be willing to pay for the other half. That person could extract half of the diodes and then forward the array on to me. That's the best I can do right now. What do you think?

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED !FOR ALL!

/\ Hmm intriguing proposal. Certainly quite tempting. I'm starting to feel that resistance might be futile.
If no one else takes you up on that I might just not be able to resist. I don't need 12 diodes but they are such alluring & beautiful little things.

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED !FOR ALL!

Liking or dont liking isn,t the issue here. I deal with allot more PL members here then only Mccarrot. MCcarrot is well aware of the danger of lasers and the diodes. Also he is well aware of the maximum MPE level and safetydevices needed in a projector. He developed a safetyboard for a projector to make
a projector as safe as possible and compliant with the europian regulations EN60825-1. Here,s the link of the board:

Interlock breakout board with differential color inputs

445nm in a pointer is quit dangerous when its in the wrong hands. I,m building modules with the diodes to implement in my own projectors. I did a groupbuy for the cases on PL a while ago.

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED !FOR ALL!

So is a 12X Blu-Ray. We are no strangers to high power diodes here.

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED !FOR ALL!

I was just about to hit the button to order the whole projector at $719 (with Bing cash back).

I'm definately in for a whole module at $550.

First post here on LPF, but I got started in the laser game years back with Dr. Lava who I worked with on testing and importing greenies, and was the guy who coaxed Kyle at DX into selling the 200mW laser, and one of the early guys who was pulling apart DVD burners with Dr. Lava and testing the diodes, first guy (that I'm aware of) who put burning diodes into the DX "elly" flashlight powered off the elly CC driver (started the ellaser fad for you oldies that remember it), then pulled apart the PS3 sleds and made some CR2 keychain blu-ray lasers when the PS3 had only been out for a couple months. lol :) Dr. Lava and Mike Hemlock are at least 2 names I see on here that can vouch for everything I just posted above. I've been out of the laser game for a while because nothing had excited me for a year or two. Now I'm :drool::drool::drool::drool::drool: to start playing with lasers again!

I can paypal in full up-front anytime you're ready to accept payment.

Re: UPDATED cheaper 445nm lasers UPDATED !FOR ALL!

So we can buy diodes from him for $35? Or? I am very confused with this thread.
