  • Yes, I send kits to Australia all the time. My kits are actually just a flashlight with a heatsink. No laser diodes or laser modules...

Send me a PM for PayPal! :)
For that short duty, you don't need TEC... Check the 445 forum, lots of people running higher than that even in a hand held laser!
    Hey Jay
Just stumbled over one of those 1000mW 445nm diodes. When I read 1000mA I think of TEC automatically.
I use a 50x30x30mm block of milled aluminum. Fins and all that...not sure if some 30x30mm fans. Dont wanna lase with it for hours not even minuts constantly...maybe 10-20 secs. What do you think?

    Regards

Would you be willing to make a custom heatsink if I give you the specifications? If not, do you know anyone else who would be willing to?
I can make heatsinks for any of the kits I have listed. Just browse through them, and then if you want a heatsink, send me a private message. But use the name of the kit. That way I will understand what host you are talking about...
Ive ordered one from dark horse, i think it is, but i havent heard a thing. Will you sell a kit for the cree v6 minus the host? With or without the extension? Whats the story with those chinese made green modules, they look the same? Im just getting started, so just bear with me.
You seem to be the one to talk with here!! do you made heatsinks for the dorcy jr? I should have looked at some of your builds before choosing the dorcy!!
Both are very nice... So it's a hard choice to pick one over the other.

For me personally, I like the Stainless steel material and the slightly smaller size. The trade off, is that the CR2 battery is a little less capacity. But it's not that much difference really...

The heatsink on the Chrome Pocket Mini is a hair larger in diameter, but the CR2 heatsink is just fine. So that's not a big difference either. Both are available with a copper heatsink option.

One thing you may want to consider, is that I have a couple of the SS CR2's on hand. And my new order of Chrome Pocket Mini hosts is on order from DX. So if you want one of those, you will just need to wait a week or two...

Send me a private message! :)
    Hello,

I'm interested in doing my first build. I was considering your chrome pocket mini, or your polished stainless steel cr2. Would you suggest one over the other? Possibly one had better heat sinking? Let me know your thoughts, and I'll give you my hard earned money:) - Corbin
