  • If you send me the host, I can make a heatsink for it. As long as the head comes apart from the body, it will be able to be modified for a laser build...

I'm leaving for my camping trip tomorrow. I'll be back 8/22. I have a back log of orders as well. (for kits)

About the power. You can push a PHR that high, but it may not last long. One of my 405-G-1 glass lenses would give you about 26% more power vs AixiZ acrylic.

Anyway, send me a private message if you decide you would like to send me your host. Or buy a kit instead: :)

Hello Jayrob. I would like some advice about building a blue laser. i have a host that uses 2 x CR123 batteries (it's an old SureFire outdoorsman model). i am buying a cheap carraige assembly from Modwerx Shop and it has a PHR-803T laser diode in it. the website claims that it can output upwards of 110 milliwatts, but i want to see if i can set it at precisely 150milliwatts so that it will have pretty decent burning power... i have an aixis 8x13mm housing for it, but it doesn't really fit right in the host. i was wondering if you ould sell me a seperate heatink with the right kind of drive perhaps? i understand if you cant do it b/c you don/t know the dimensions. but maybe you could recommend me an option that i don't have to pay an arm and a leg for?? your lasers are way cool. thanks
Will do. My lens should arrive in a day or so. I will send everything to You, and You can let Me know what You think is best way to do the job. I know the Coast lights are not very popular, but I really like this models shape and heft. I'll PM You when I have everything ready to ship for Your address. Thanks!!!!
Jay You interested in fabricating a custom heat-sink for a Coast LED Lenser I am using as a 445nm host. I will get the details if You are interested. I have the driver, lens, and press fit housing already taken care of. :worthy:
Jay thanks for all the help. I now have a good start to a killer collection.:thanks:
Can't wait to see it! I know you always do awesome work...

Congrats on the new addition to your family!
Oh ok I see now, thanks for the clarification! Your help is greatly appreciated, I'm working on my white laser prototype still.....having a baby has caused some serious delay and really takes up most of my time but I'm about 40% done machining now. Thanks again!
Depends on the boring bar and bit. If I can fit the boring bar in the hole, then I choose to use it instead of an end mill bit...
If it's a small hole, I use and end mill. But if it's a large hole, I will use a boring bit...
Hi Jay, quick question. Would you recommend using a counterbore bit or an end mill to machine flat bottom holes in aluminum? I've done some searching online but can't find much info. What do you use?
Hey, Im brand new too making lasers, I've never made one before, a lot of people reffered me to you. Whats the easiest kit you have? and could you help me out a little with what exactly i need to have at home to make this work if i buy it? I was looking at the "Pocket Mini Build Kit! - Easy Assembly!" so ya if you could help me out that would be great and id love to buy from you
