true there trigger mechanism is not the safest of invents, but if there is a sandy, muddy, freezing or other really odd firefight backdrop... gimme' the glock.;-p

I'm not a hater of Glocks, I just...well, I find them quite ugly. They are good in the since that they do what they are made to do...and they do fit that job very well.

I'm more of a person that wants a gun that looks good and shoots good.

Ruger 10/22 anyone?

I have several custom built ruger 10/22's and a 3rd in the works. I do have to say they are incredibly fun guns both to work on and to shoot.

I spent a little time with a Glock once. I'm not a hater per se, and while the gun didn't jam on me I must say it also wasn't a very comfortable gun either. The gun was new and just very rough and angular. I certainly wouldn't want to shoot it regularly which I think is a must if you are planning to CCW.

Commision guys see a Glock come out and start wording out. I've read also that there are plenty of Glock haters out there Taurus haters to.
I think it's like most thing not made in USA. I also think now though the Glock is assembled here just that the parts are AUS. Taurus has a US based company here just that all that $ goes back to Brazil. I haven't research those as facts... just put it together as spoken facts.:shhh:

Depends on what model. I have the model 30. it's a double stacked 45cal.
Holds 9 in the clip and one in the stack ( I don't carry that way). Very comfortable gun in the right hands. I can tell you that shooting it is a joy
it's light and durable. You have to be aggressive in your shooting stance &
compensation for the recoil associated with both the automatic and light weight.

The only draw back is the trigger mechanism... after shooting most handguns that trigger is very nerve racking. I suppose if your injured and only able to use one hand (could happen) then it would real come in handy, also it's fast out the draw, with no safety to worry about on the fly.:shhh:

I'm not a fan of beretta/tarus pistols.

I think the beretta cheetahs and pocket guns are dandy... but other than that the 9mm taurus/beretta pistols are bulky & heavy for what they are. The grips are obtrusively fat and capacity is only satisfactory for a full size pistol. For the size, I'd rather carry a CZ or even a .45 or other more potent caliber.

I like my G19 over the beretta despite the mushier trigger. Shorter, smaller, lighter, and accepts 15rnd, 17rnd, and 31rnd magazines. But boy do the berettas and taruses cycle smooth with the cam-locking barrel. I had one for awhile... sweet shooter. Just a little too bulky for what it was.

Trivia: Did you know... the pair of pistols Trinity is wielding in "The Matrix" after diving through the window are actually Beretta .380 Cheetahs (commonly misidentified as Beretta M92 pistols).

I finally got my camera back, so here are 4 of my guns I shoot the most.

Desert Eagle 44mag, Uzi Eagle (Baby Eagle) 40cal I use for my concealed carry.

Colt Anaconda 44mag, Ruger GP100 357mag

I sold my Colt Military 45(auto) and my Colt AR-15 in July, I have a lot more guns 6 shot guns, 2 other pistols and 10 Rifles, including a 10/22 that I am waiting on a new barrel for.

Becaus i cant own guns untill im 18, i collect replicas
i have a G18 and im trying to get either a .45 1911 or a Walther PPK, i havnt decided yet.

Something else in common. I owned a nickel plated Desert Eagle .44mag. For show, it was a great pistol. Big noise, shot a 3 foot flame out the nozzle at dusk. The freakin grip was too big though. I have a big hand, and it was hard to hold the thing. Plus after 20 rounds your hand hurt so much you needed a break. I ended up selling it 3 weeks after I bought it.

why would you need a handgun with that kind of firepower, if it is impossible to use
