With the Ruger 10/22 I've noticed that when you use standard federal rounds, led heads, not jacketed the jam rate is minimalized. Keep them clean folks.

Cleaning guns? Bahh.
I fully clean my guns on exactly one occasion: when they get wet. Any other time, it's just not worth it. I've fired my shotguns over 10,000 times without cleaning, and never had a problem. A drop or 2 of oil on the trouble spots, a good wipe-down to get skin oils off, and quality guns will run forever that way. If it gets wet though is a different story, that requires a full cleaning, inside and out.
Barrel cleaning is another issue entirely though.
I clean my gun every time I shoot it. However, at work I have shot some AR15s with well over 10,000 rounds with out being cleaned. You have got to keep it lubed though.
buy a glock...
cleaning? fugetaboutit.
EDIT: Also...If you don't mind me asking, do you have the proper license for that silencer? If not, I wouldn't be posting that on here.
Not really a "license" involved... the bureau just wants your $200...
I really doubt anyone has been arrested for posting a silencer online. However, I do know about a guy that was arrested for posting a picture of his trijicon sights. Turns out he bought them from a soldier who stole them. The government actually records the serial # of EVERY SINGLE weapon accessory they issue apparently, and even looks for them online...
I guess, it all depends on the state you live in as well. Me being from the great state of Chicago, I am not allowed to own or poses a silencer. I'm not very familiar with the laws for Silencers because of this, so thanks for clearing me up on this. Since I work for...who I work for...I do have access to several of them, but I wouldn't be caught dead with one outside of company time.
LOL...I just realized how often my co-workers and I bring in Rifles to the office at work. It's like an everyday thing. I'm so used to seeing them there. I think at any other office/work place, people would be calling 911.
FYI: Happy 2,000 post to you
To be honest I haven't done much research in to what it takes to get a silencer-but back in idaho my friend told me a bit about the process (send in a $200 tax stamp, then wait very patiently) and one time I saw a guy buying a silencer in the local high-end gun store, basically he gave the guy $200 plus a paperwork fee and the guy said "Go talk to the sheriff and we'll give you a call in about a month." I suppose the sheriff needed to sign something.
Also, thanks :na:
I can't believe I'm a double LPF veteran.
