downtime on Mar 31 | Layer 1 problem (cable was unplugged)

guys

i just got home from work and found teh site was down and got many emails


turns out the physical cable from my server to firewall got disconnected somehow

im relieved this was only a layer 1 problem and nto some hardware issue failing on the box

i apologize for the downtime

LPF withdrawl seems to cause a little more anxiety than one would think..

heh yeah sry again about this

my host has reposition the firewall and my server so the cable is more secured. it is amazing to me this happened but really shouldn't even happen again.. if it does, i may need to get a remote webcam to monitor the server with an intimidating laser on top of it lol

but yeah glad its working again and sorry for the troubles.
 
If it can't be repaired with a hammer, WD-40 or duct tape, It can't be fixed.

I think I hit refresh at least 50 times and that doesn't include leaving and coming back to the site! Man now that I finally got around to making an account and posting, this forum becomes quite addicting and costly! ;)

You guys weren't alone. I was trying to get on LPF for OVER 3 hrs. 2 weeks ago, I had a total system crash & all I could think about was how much it was gonna cost me to straighten out this latest SNAFU. Glad it was NOT my PC this time. But I WAS sweatin'

It happened again! Twice in one day. I almost had a heart attack. I hope nobody was hurt. lol
 
So it was for this that yesterday all stopped to work ..... glad to hear that was not a server malfunction or some software problems :)

I didn't know what to do on the internet besides coming here. I even opened Windows messenger which I haven't done in ages.

This is the only place I go to talk to others.
