Can usually squeeze another mbit or 2 down later at night, but upload remains pretty much the same always :(

New test.

Pings of 4 or 5 ms?? is that even possible?

I'm usually annoyed if my ping at home is over 7ms. <5ms is ideal IMO.

Adding a router, and going over wifi you're increasing ping too.

Lowest I've seen is 2ms... that didn't last :(

My service is being upgraded at home tomorrow, as part of a promo... we'll see what happens. Technically the upgrade is to the same level of service that I'm already getting now:p

Hey guys check out my upstream. 34.86Mbps. My area has been chosen by comcast to start testing of 8 channel bonding on the up

Yeah, that up speed is amazing... My up speed IIRC will max out at 4Mb/s after the upgrade, currently it's maxes out at 2.

Unfortunately because of this I definitely qualify as a leech... even though I tend to leave files uploading for a long time after the download is done.

I wonder if comcast will bump up my down stream since its actually slower then the up?
Probably not since I'm only so posed to be getting 25 down and 4 up. Now that I'm getting
34.62 down and 34.86 up I'll bet I see a bill increase soon.

You're likely to get an offer to get better service, but they won't just raise your rates.

Instead they will likely cap your speeds. That's what they did with a lot of verizon fios customers IIRC.

My download is 60Mbs, upload 3Mbs - Virgin media.

I can't do the speedtest.net pic because although you guys rate that site, it doesn't give accurate download results for me.

'Actual' downloading rate is 8.2Mbs. (approx 1680 x faster than my first ever internet connection :D )

Lol, my first speed was with an analoog modem. The speed was 300 baud surfing the BBS. ;)

Lol, I didn't have a clue what you're talking about but I'm just watching a vid on you-tube about it.

Lol... well, one thing is certain, I don't miss the sounds of dial-up.

Or waiting for pictures to load piece by piece.

Whats really no fun is that most Australian ISP's cap you to 64/64kbps (kilobits), and the largest quota most of them offer is 200GB :(
