I'd like to thank Flaminpyro for my two new favorite lasers. He's a great guy to deal with. Alright on too the lasers.
I got four lasers in two days
The pictures don't do them justice. They're beautiful. I got the hosts from DX DealExtreme: $13.56 UltraFire A10B Cree R2-WC HA-III 5-Mode 250-Lumen LED Flashlight (1*18650) .
I've learned these diodes are very sensitive to temperature. It can effect the output by up to 20mW going from 80 to 70 degrees. Because I live in Texas these are definetly winter lasers.
Specs:
One is set to 650mA putting out 530+mW depending on the temperature.
It's driven by a v5 flex, powered by a single 18650, and uses an aixiz 405 glass lens.
The second is set to 875mA putting out 780+mW. Hit a peak of 805mw on a low battery at lower temperature. It uses the same stuff as the other obviously. They're twins .
Burning:
These make awesome burners up close. 530mw of 445 will easily match 450mw of 405 at a short distance, but over half a meter, and the 8x will win at a burning contest because of the bar output.
Brightness, and color:
Both 445s in the night sky on a very clear night. The color seems almost perfect to me. Deep blue with a slight tint of purple.
800mw 445, 450mw 405, 200mw 655, and 500mw of 445.
Added 20mw of green.
