It wasn't defensive, that's the question that's at hand, and why this thread was started.

I have nothing against Spyro being a mod.... except...

When the last selection of Mods were proposed...
It was made clear by certain members that I should not
be allowed to be a mod because I was selling my LaserBee
products on the Forum...

Spyro and MM are selling an LPM here on the Forum...
If it is good for me... I suppose it should be good for
other members as well... IMO

I voted no... for no other reason.. sorry Spyro..

Jerry

If you believe you're qualified, can prove you can keep your business and moderation apart, and Avery is now willing to bring people on board if they can make that separation, then you may as well drop him an email about the prospect. I've yet to meet someone quite as laid back as Avery. ;)

Thank you Dave for the impact.

I suggest to add Spyro AND Jerry as moderators + they should be allowed to keep their signatures cause they both sell great products.

Having at least 6 moderators for a forum with >10.000 members should be fine.

There is a simple way to solve this. if spryo goes mod and there is a decision to be made about or involving his product (in any way) he cant be involved but for any other thing he would be fine.
imo i dont care if hes a mod and sells a product. he gets my vote to be a mod.

I like this suggestion.. If this were the case, it would keep balance.

Where do I vote for Jerry?? :san:

Neutral guy, knows when and how to drop the banhammer. If business doesn't get in the way (which I think will not), Spyro's got my vote.

Also, dildalazor.

I should also put on record, Avery approached me with the offer to moderate for lpf, I didn't ask him for a position. Just in case anyone didn't take that from the first post, and if it matters to anyone at all.

Have a fun and safe Halloween, all my north American friends :)

Brad

Your first job as a mod is going to be deleting my off-topic post here

Happy Halloween!

Avery, a similar question like this POLL was run in another thread. So, as in that one, so in this one, he gets my "NOD FOR MOD" !!!

I'm not usually the type who's quick to post unless I have something of real value to add, I'm more observational.

And about this whole thing about Radiant, honestly, i'd prefer the ability to be able to keep a link in my signature or something like that, and do customer service and such on the forum for Radiant because, of course, its a duty to my customers. Id also have the duty of making fair decisions on the forum for the community. I don't have problems removing my business from the decisions I make, unlike some people here may think. Radiant doesn't consume me in that it affects my judgment on other matters on the forum. Its a personality trait of mine to look at things neutrally and remove myself from the equation, you make better decisions that way in life for certain matters, and I've found that works well for me.

Now, the question comes, do you trust me to do that?

That's what this poll is for.

If Spyro has not had arguments / drama regarding LPMs & has shown to be calm and neutral then retaining Radiant in his sig or elsewhere is ok IMO.

Certainly I have not been a member long which is why I say "if".

There is too much drama with/around Jerry to allow him as a mod.

I dont want to be a mod. Thanks for the thought though. I like having the freedom to wave my dick around. As a Mod that would be imposable. If I see something shady I can always PM Dave, or others. Thats good enough for me. Plus I think there would be a huge uproar if I got a mod title, LMAO. Although 'Septic Tank Mod' has an appealing ring. If that came to light, I would like to do that.

I'm good with Spyrorocks. He seems level headed, and fair.

I dont know about the advertising though. It could create a conflict of interest down the road. It happens to the best of people. Plus I think if there was a rule for one, the rule should be for all. Its only fair. Its was a good rule, I think we should keep it.

I vote we force mod-hood upon T_J whether he likes it or not.
Anything that takes that particular freedom away from him I'm all for.

True. I guess I'm looking to give the benefit of the doubt, relying on Avery's judgment of character.
Just wondering, how long has Spyro been involved with any LPM thats up for sale?

I don't know about you, but I am open to bribes. I think one LPM for every member on this forum over the age of 40 who has not been banned previously AND who contributes good content AND votes yes in the above poll would be sufficient to allow him to be a mod don't you?:crackup::crackup:

i approve. i also would approve of jerry. i believe in trusting until proved wrong. and in an environment as open as LPF any errors in judgement will be quickly called out.'
i also say to let them have a link in their sig. they would be working here and deserve some form of compensation

and about "advertising causing conflict of interest"... it is just a passive advertisement at the bottom of a post. if they start spamming the drop the banhammer.
michael.

I'm 2 out of 4. Do I still qualify? :yh:

I believe in preventive maintenance. Has nothing to do with trust, everyone fails at one point or another. Take out the option, and there is no worry of an issue.
