Most of the new heatsinks are a very fine machine-finish, the hosts shown above are gloss, except for the MXDL, which is the original surface-finish.

Noted Dave, I will see what I can come up with. Any other mods besides just the color?
Have you ever tried our "Ap-Caps"? While not exactly what you are requesting they come in many colors and cover the focus-ring on any Aixiz/DX/Sure modules,  among other features.

I was just sitting here looking at this bright chrome focus ring sitting on the end of a black Galileo 6X mod when it hit me. We could probably make these things "disappear" on the front of many of the hosts we use if they were black.

PM me an address. I'll send you a couple of dozen focus rings to play with.

That would be BADASS. I don't know if those are aluminum but it sure would be easy enough to find out. I've got a ton of them too as I don't use them on my Krytons.

I think they are nickel-plated brass, I am pretty sure they are not aluminum. Maybe that will be the reason to buy the goodies to do "black-chrome"-plating : .
